Neither were Islamic terrorists | And yet the Arabs killed 3000 people and destroyed several blocks of New York, ya that is comparable. You are aware that some people believe McVeigh had help from Islamic Terrorists?

I never said that you had no right to have an opinion. I just said that it was, in fact, worth nothing.

Rep Power: 19 | | | A quibble: the anthrax guy is not number three. Islamist terrorists have killed dozens of Americans in variouis attacks around the world.
But, even if these two lone nutters had taken #2 and #3 places in the numbers-killed-at-one-time competition, so what?
What follows from that?
Is the implication that there must be hundreds of thousands of other lone maniacs out there, getting ready to bomb federal buildings or trigger anthrax attacks? So we are wasting our time fighting in Afghanistan and tracking Al Queda, when we should be going after New World Order-fearing militia fantasists, or mad scientists?

Neither were Islamic terrorists | That's only because the terrorists haven't been allowed to attack again, even though they have tried many times. |

Rep Power: 10 | | Al qaeda is more sexy for the media to report on.
The fact is, domestic rightwing terrorism is and has been a significant an ongoing threat, that is rarely reported. That recent attack on that pro-gay, Liberal Unitarian Church in Tennesee fits the definition of a rightwing terrorist act, but the media won't report it that way. Quote:
In the 10 years since the April 19, 1995, bombing in Oklahoma City, in fact, the radical right has produced some 60 terrorist plots. These have included plans to bomb or burn government buildings, banks, refineries, utilities, clinics, synagogues, mosques, memorials and bridges; to assassinate police officers, judges, politicians, civil rights figures and others; to rob banks, armored cars and other criminals; and to amass illegal machine guns, missiles, explosives, and biological and chemical weapons. What follows is a list of key right-wing plots of the last 10 years. SPLCenter.org: Terror From the Right | |
