The hospital I went to this past July for my kidney stones sent me a letter in the mail approving me for a full 100% reduction of my balance with them, which was $2,400. Now I have two other bills to settle, one of $376 and $550. This is quite the boon for me with the holidays coming.

One of my prayers was answered today, and perhaps another by a good buddy on this board who shall not be named per his request.

Praise be to God, through him nothing is impossible!
Its helpful that you don't have to pay such a huge amount!
I hope all is well, TK!

The inside is as plain as they come, nothing power, no headliner, rubber floor mats, idiot lights instead of gauges, bench seat with the drivers side ripped to shreds and practically gone, and a big ole rust hole in the drivers side floor boards where can see right through to the ground. Door hinges were shot, rear leaf springs looked like they'd been so loaded down they'd been bent back double, and the engine had a miss and a tick. At 86,000 miles, she'd been worked hard. I'd been hard pressed to give $2,500 for it, but I was cold and tired of waiting, so when the bid went over $3,000, I just turned and left, as did 3/4 of the rest of the people that had stayed, and the bid was still going at $3,800 by the time I was out of ear shot. So if that beat up Plain Jane is worth $4,000, (or more), then my cherry Silverado is easily worth $10,000...

... I love Wisconsin.
Wow, why would anyone bid over 500 for it, if what you listed is true? You couldn't make your money back by scrapping it if you paid more than 500.
What possible reason would I have to lie...

I look 'em over top to bottom. The frame was still pretty good, so actually if someone wanted to put a rust free southern cab on it and give it some TLC, you'd have a pretty decent truck. I'd just rather not deal with that much work.
My apologies. That was poorly phrased. I was taken aback by the notion that given the condition of the truck, you'd still bid 2500 dollars on it. I still can't fathom why you would? A truck in that condition is worth the amount of scrap metal you can get for it, and not much more. The cost to make it into a beater is far to expensive.

Again, I'm sorry about the poor choice of words.

I don't think it will go down too well, thankfully I have class tonight so can avoid her until at least half past seven!
Are you her personal servant, or something? I'd let her do her own laundry, too.
She seems to think I should wait on her hand and foot!!

And what I am doing right now? Washing my own clothes, because they weren't washed this morning. That's what I do, wash my own clothes at 9pm at night. Like she should do.
Just tell her to her face to get off her lazy ass and wash her own damn clothes, and if she doesn't like it, you're taking martial arts, kick her ass.

It's all cool pard, don't give it another thought.

The thing is, around here, most trucks that age are in the junk yard because the frames have rusted out, and those truly are worthless. But when you find one that still has an intact frame in half way decent shape, then it's worth restoring. A full set of brand new leaf springs all the way around probably wouldn't be over $500, and since cars do rust so bad up here from the salt, there's lots of places that sell rust free cabs and such from down south. A little... well maybe a lot... but still, some TLC and that truck would be a nice outfit again. I just have too many irons in the fire as far as vehicle projects right now myself, or I'd have bought that. NADA put it's pricing at $4,775 average retail, and $7,950 high retail, so if you bought it for $2,500, put another $1,500 to $2,000 in it, you could easily make a $3-4,000 profit.

Mornin' all. Woke up this morning to freezing fog and 12 degrees, all the trees and bushes are a nice Christmassy white, unfortunately so was the car........ We're not expecting much in the way of snow but for the next couple of days highs will be in the teens and lows in the single digits.
The cleaning, unpacking, sorting, arranging, more cleaning, etc, etc goes apace, still haven't found the dishes but we do have a few we had picked up over the last year. Well, back to work.

HI folks, Its not too cold in England, but its cold enough for me to need heating, and I brought a new gas fire this winter. I was pleased with it because its nice and cozy. The trouble is it uses twice as much gas as the old one, and that is going to double my gas bill this year.

Good deal.

I did, too, for it was nice and cold here. I would LOVE to get even 9 hours sleep, but I will accept my usual 7. I feel better when it is 8 however, but when I do lights out with something weighing heavily, positive or negative, on my mind, it doesn't happen. Seven at best...

I'll take that....

I have found since I began my stretching and breathing routine some months ago, that I can use the breathing routine for relaxation to induce sleep. Now 9 out of 10 times I will be asleep within in ten cycles. It has made a world of difference to how I feel.
