A more severe hole in the current law is commonly referred to as the “Terror Gap”. If you are on the U.S. Government Terrorist Watch List for being a known or suspected terrorist, and do not meet any of the other prohibitive categories, you can purchase a firearm. You cannot get on an airplane, but you can buy an AR-15 assault rifle or a .50 caliber sniper rifle and thousands of rounds of ammunition. According to a 2011 U.S. Government Accountability Office report, individuals on the Terrorist Watch List have attempted to purchase firearms from an FFL 1,228 times since 2010. More than 90% of those sales were allowed to proceed because there were no other disqualifiers.

Just because the Government thinks you MIGHT be a terrorist or sympathizer does not invalidate rights protected by the Constitution. Otherwise all Obama would need to do is declare anyone he wanted a suspected terrorist and then remove all their rights.

The no fly list has way too many administrative errors to be reliable for anything, it doesn't include DOB, SSN or other personal identifiers to adequately limit the list. How many stories have you heard of people being denied boarding a flight just because of a name match. Hell I've read stories of children as young as 5 blocked from flying. The no fly list is a joke. A known terrorist would have an FBI flag in NCIC.

Once again for the extremely slow and obnoxiously stupid.... Dealers at Gun shows have to follow the same laws as if they were in their stores. ID, background check, all of it. A booth cost 150 to 200 dollars Joe Blow is not going to shell that out to sell a couple rifles or pistols he has laying around.

It is illegal for illegals to buy weapons as it is for felons. Being on a made up list by a bureaucrats in DC is not a crime. It has no legal bearing and can not be used to deny rights, just think if it did some right wing president could declare all liberals as enemies of the State and throw them in jail.
