Zimmerman outweighed Trayvon by 80 lbs.

In 2005 Zimmerman was charged with assaulting a police officer and assaulting his GF.

The head detective in the case wanted to charge Zimmerman with manslaughter, but the DA wouldn't let him.

Zimmerman's father is a retired judge.

He pulled some strings with the DA's office to get him off.

Doesn't this belong on the conspiracy theory board? After all, thats what it is.

Florida does not have DA's; we have SA's..............................................maybe Wolfinger was still investigating, and the Sanford police recommended charges......................

It could of happened but you have zero proof that it did.
it would help explain why zimmerman was over zealous in following the kid.

:stupid: :finger3:

Still, it's a little odd given that this guy's story was so shaky..and that he had a record of assaulting people, a cop and his fiancee (man..I hate it when dudes beat up chicks..don't you?), they let him go?

good for Zimmerman, there is no doubt he was well informed on the law and will get great advice from his dad on how to handle this whole thing.

Poor Trayvon had no retired judge on his side.

As I said in a thread of the same title, I bet if you look hard enough you'll find some Jews in his lineage too.

Robert Zimmerman, George's father is a retired judge, who obviously would have connections with law enforcement, and this could potentially explain the questionable treatment George has been given by the police department.

I googled "george zimmerman father judge" and got a few links to alternative media sites I never heard of, one to MSNBC, and zippo to CNN or other MSM sites.

I had to go to a 'Yahoo Answers' page to find a discussion about this, where I found out that his Mom was also a court clerk, and there are 3 prior cases where Z might have been bailed out from domestic abuse charges, one where he beat up a cop. Who knows the details, since the MSM is ignoring this part of the story.

So they'll bend over backwards to talk about marijuana residue found in an empty bag that Trayvon had, but they'll neglect relevant information like Z's father is a retired judge and his mom is a court clerk and possibly up to 3 other cases in the past mysteriously disappeared.

Anyone else noticing MSM is neglecting to mention Zimmerman's dad is a retired judge? - Democratic Underground

He is a retired judge in VIRGINIA. His mother is a retired court clerk from VIRGINIA.

So it's not relevant.

Bullshit.

His wife is a court employee.

Once again...

Why would the chief of police and the state's attorney come to the police station ON A SUNDAY NIGHT to get Zimmerman released?

Norm WolfingerNorm Wolfinger is the State Attorney for the 18th Judicial district in the U.S. state of Florida, an office he's held since 1985. In his capacity as State Attorney, Wolfinger is responsible for prosecutions in both Brevard County and Seminole County with a combined population of about 1 million persons.[51][52]

It has been reported that Wolfinger met, in person, with police leaders on the night of the shooting while Zimmerman was still in police custody. Chief Lee and Capt. Robert O'Connor reportedly decided to release George Zimmerman without charges after the two officers met with Wolfinger.[53]

ABC News reported Tuesday that, after questioning Zimmerman at the Sanford police station, homicide investigator Chris Serino filed an affidavit February 26th stating that he did not believe Zimmerman's account of the shooting. He recommended charging the 28-year-old with manslaughter, but was advised by Wolfinger's office that there wasn't enough evidence to secure a conviction. Zimmerman was subsequently released.

What was not stated was that, on the night of the killing, Wolfinger may have traveled to either the scene of the shooting or the police station to discuss the case with Lee and O'Connor, who was briefly named interim "co-chief" with the current acting chief, Darren Scott, when Lee announced he would step down temporarily last week.

In this case, the source says investigators spoke to the on-duty assistant state attorney -- an unidentified woman -- who did not come to the scene, but that Wolfinger did.

And according to the source, after a conversation between Lee, O'Connor and Wolfinger, the decision was made to "cut Zimmerman loose."

Maybe. Maybe not.

It would be nice if instead of just spouting shit, you'd try to offer SOME support for ANY of your claims.

My question is, why did the top brass show up? They don't show up for crimes that are a bit more henious, matter of fact, according to some interviews that I'd seen on the news, they generally don't show up at all.

What could get the chief of police and the captain of the police to show up on a Sunday night?

Oh yeah........his father the retired judge? Lives in the next county over from where Zimmerman is.

It was then Sanford police chief Bill Lee, along with Capt. Robert O'Connor, the investigations supervisor, who made the decision to release George Zimmerman on the night of February 26th, after consulting with State Attorney Norman Wolfinger -- in person.

Wolfinger's presence at the scene or at the police department in the night of a shooting would be unusual, according to the source. On a typical case, police contact the state attorney's office and speak with an on duty assistant state attorney; they either discuss the matter by phone or the on duty assistant state attorney comes to the crime scene - but rarely the state attorney him or herself.

Why did the state attorney come to the police station ON A SUNDAY NIGHT to protect George Zimmerman for killing an unarmed teenager?

The answer is Zimmerman's father, a retired judge, undoubtedly called in some favors.

Now if some intrepid reporter would just look into this...
