Another one of my screen loves passed away:
I am six years younger than Shirley Temple. Of course, by the time I saw her movies in the late thirties and early forties she was no longer a little tyke; nevertheless, I fell in love with her the way a boy falls in love with a little sister. To me, I could never see her as anything but the cutey pie in this scene:
I am 13 years younger than my very first screen love, Deanna Durbin, who passed away last year. I loved everything about her. Her face, her voice, her persona. You can be sure I never saw her as my little sister:
