YouTube bans gun sale, tutorial videos: report

I can watch porn on Youtube but can't learn to clean and properly handle my firearm.

YouTube bans gun sale, tutorial videos: report

YouTube has placed tighter restrictions on videos concerning guns, according to Bloomberg Technology.

Bloomberg Technology on Wednesday reported that YouTube will ban videos promoting or linking to websites selling firearms and accessories.

YouTube will also forbid footage containing instructions about how to assemble such weapons, with both policies taking effect in April.

Good. Firearms could hurt somebody. In fact without even googling it, I bet they already have.

Didn't know YouTube had porn though. I presume you're talking about sex porn as opposed to gun porn. Imagine that -- a private business being selective about what it traffics in. What a world.

Untrue. It's the lack of firearms knowledge that can hurt someone. Suppose you want to disassemble your firearm for a good cleaning? You go to Youtube to find out how to do that.

Suppose there are no instructional firearms videos on Youtube? Then you could accidentally put it back together wrong, or leave out a part. Then you either have a non-functional firearm or a dangerous one.

I don't have a firearm, ergo I don't need to clean it, do I?

If I did have a firearm I'd damn sure know how to maintain it without having to get it from freaking YouTube.

Think about it.

Good for you, Binky. When you do decide to buy a firearm and have to completely disassemble it to clean it, be sure to mail me all the spare parts. I can sell those on Ebay.

So if media companies like YouTube are going full-retard and removing all firearms content, does anyone else think Hollywood producers, directors, and actors should follow suit by stopping with all the movies full of firearms, firearms violence, and the irresponsible use of firearms?

Or is the Hollywood movie industry completely lacking in integrity and moral conviction, and comprised only of lying hypocrites?

They already delete other kinds of clips. Why not others?

God bless you always!!!

P.S. And for the record, yes, they are on my spit list too.
I just went to YouTube and found a good many firearms tutorials, including the dreaded AR-15.

New guns come with manuals written by lawyers, or a CD; gun manufacturers have online resources.

Or just go to another hosting site.

(…non-issue)

Good for you – that’ll show ‘em.

It's not about showing them. I am well aware that my personal choice isn't going to have any impact on them. What this does do, is to ensure that I am not wasting my time supporting or utilizing the services of a company/product that doesn't agree with my way of life.

Very much an issue. It's pretty obvious that you're not a part of the gun culture. If you did, you'd know that more used firearms are purchased in this country, than new ones.

I never try to fire any newly-bought used firearm until I've completely disassembled it down to the last screw or pin, thoroughly clean every part with solvent and oil it, inspect the parts, then re-assemble it.

You can really fuck up a pricey collectible firearm if you don't know what you're doing, or have no guide.

You'd be surprised how useful those videos are. Some firearms are just weird. Actually watching someone else disassemble a firearm can save hours of stress and dollars worth of damage. I had a hell of a time understanding both the main spring and barrel removal for my 22lr Ruger Standard. I was always taught never to force parts in or out...but after watching a Youtube video or two, I saw that it took some force to remove the main spring, and even more to reinstall it. Unbelievably helpful. And amateur firearm video reviews are an indispensible tool as well.

indeed the left wants to keep people ignorant on the safe usage storage and handling of firearms

why

because they need the bodies to pile up to push an agenda

Now if only the deleted clips of my late beautiful precious Steve Sanders of the Oak Ridge Boys were restored. I would have no complaints. Him being a person who isn't here anymore is bad enough. Stripping someone of what is left behind is about as low as it gets in my opinion.

God bless you and his family always!!!

So get your ban on gun lickers, "ban Youtube ban Youtube". The worm has turned gun huggers, the NRA is quickly joining the KKK as irrelevant.

But you bungs can add Youtube to your bans of the NFL, and Dick's, Walmart, and the now growing list of companies that don't want to be in the business of selling mass death anymore.

If you want to stop promoting mass death then stop driving and using your cellphone seeing you are more likely to die that way than by some mass shooter!

If you disagree then you are denying reality of life.

Also it is the corporation choice and the private consumer choice.

If they ban Hickock45, they're some sorry bastards.

From the wording of that, they're going to ban all the good stuff.

Youtube has been demonetizing firearm related content for years. So much so that those who create that content started their own video content sharing platform.

YouTube is demonitizing everything. If you really want to find someone to blame you need to look to the advertisers on YouTube. They are the ones complaining and pulling ad revenue. Money talks

Porn is regulated in many enlightened regions of our country, and condoms are required so as to not spread STDs.

I hope that is not too abstract for you to comprehend.

Here you have an excellent point. And expand that point to television, which reaches far more people far more often than movies do.

But you know why they won't do that? Because it sells. And why does it sell? Because we buy it. If we quit buying --- they would have to quit selling. There would be no point.
