The 'Youth Misery Index' that combines unemployment, student loan debt and national debt to determine how bad off younger voters are has reached a record high, prompting a new conservative campaign to dump President Obama, or "B.O.," because his policies stink for kids.

American Majority Action told Secrets Monday that they are inaugurating a new effort--Students Against Barack Obama--with a web ad titled "Want Jobs? Fire Obama!" The grim ad features the line, "Say no to B.O. in 2012" and displays the economic plight younger Americans face.

The effort follows the historic surge in the Youth Misery Index. Under Obama, it has jumped 26 percent and now stands at 95.1. The index, developed by the conservative Young America's Foundation, adds together federal statistics on youth unemployment, now 16.8 percent, average student loan debt, which now stands at $28,600, and national debt per person, at $49,700, to determine the index. They provided Secrets with the new index Monday.

"President Obama has morphed Generation Y into Generation 'Why Us?'," said Ron Meyer, spokesman for American Majority Action and formerly with YAF. "Since he took office, 250,000 less youth jobs have vanished, tuition has spiked 25%, and the national debt has increased 50%.......

Just think of what he could do with for four more years for the clueless kiddies that vote for him...

Despite repeated promises that he would build prosperity from the bottom up, President Obama has presided over three years of income losses for the middle class, according to the latest household income data from the Census Bureau.

Since 2009, the middle 20% of American households saw their average incomes drop 4%. In 2011 alone, they fell 1.7%. The poorest 20% have fared even worse under Obama, Census data show. Their incomes have dropped more than 7% since 2009, and are now lower than they've been at any time since 1985, after adjusting for inflation.

Meanwhile, the wealthiest have managed to eke out gains in two of the past three years. In 2011, the top 20% saw their average income climb almost 2%, the Census data show.

These results are in direct contrast of what President Obama said his policies would produce when he ran for president in 2008...........

The latest U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics report, shows that black and Latino unemployment remain critically elevated and may present a political challenge for President Barack Obama as he seeks reelection.

While overall unemployment fell slightly in July to 8.1 percent from 8.3 percent the month before, black and Latino unemployment did not follow the same course. Latino unemployment climbed slight to 10.2 percent in July from 10 percent in June. And, the share of black workers seeking jobs but unable to find remained stagnant at 14.1 percent.

The economy did manage to create 96,000 in July. However, that figure is smaller than the number of new workers who entered the workforce. In short, July’s job market did not keep pace with population growth and left large shares of Latino and black job seekers without jobs and while also stranding other major groups of workers, according to federal data.

"Among the major worker groups, the unemployment rates for adult men of all races and ethnicities (7.6 percent), adult women (7.3 percent), teenagers (24.6 percent), whites (7.2 percent), blacks (14.1 percent), and Hispanics (10.2 percent) showed little or no change in August. The jobless rate for Asians was 5.9 percent (not seasonally adjusted), little changed from a year earlier."
Beyond the unemployment rate, there are other indicators of growing economic distress for black and Latino households. It seems men are dropping out of the labor force faster than women, and more black and Latino men are without work than others. The twin phenomenon have pushed the male workforce participation rate to a new low unseen since the federal government began reporting this data in 1948.............

Unemployment Rates Highest Amongst Black And Latinos

But its all about HOPE !!!!!!!!! Lol

But, if Obama speaks to them, no matter what his actions are, they will keep voting democrat.
Lip service has always been cheap, no need to follow through because that's the hard part.

Misery index? Guess sit makes sense since we've got Carter 2.0 in the White House until January.

Did you catch the story that this admin has instructed federal contractors to not follow the law of layoffs and you as a tax payer will pick up the legal bill for the suits that will follow?

Furthermore, neither Romney nor Ryan have stated HOW they intend to create more jobs. We already know that the GOP plan of extending the Bush tax cuts to the wealthi....err, job creators didn't work.

It's a shame that a lot of these youth aren't getting much support or guidance from their parents. I know my kids are far from miserable.

Interesting how these voters didn't seem concerned when George W. Bush was racking up a trillion dollar war debt.

Hmmmmm...

Oh, wait.

American Majority Action is led by Ned Ryun, a conservative who is a senior editor at American Spectator. Glad to see he's not partisan or anything.

You people think kids are stupid, and that they don't realize when conservative organizations manufacture so-called youth movements.

Kids don't think this stuff, they support Obama at record levels. Adult conservatives WANT kids to think these things.

What a bunch of dumbasses.

It seems you're satisfied with failure, I expect that. Infact, I've heard members of this board say that we need to get used to the new norm of 8% unemployment. That is pathetic, and even though Mitt may not be the best, he would do better than Obama, hell, I think Michelle Obama would do better than the empty suit we have right now.

Employment Law Guide - Notices for Plant Closings and Mass Layoffs

WARN protects workers, their families, and communities by requiring employers to provide notification 60 calendar days in advance of plant closings and mass layoffs. Advance notice gives workers and their families some transition time to adjust to the prospective loss of employment, to seek and obtain other jobs and, if necessary, to enter skill training or retraining that will allow these workers to compete successfully in the job market. WARN also provides for notice to state dislocated worker units so that they can promptly offer dislocated worker assistance.

Notices and Posters

There are no workplace poster requirements under the WARN Act.

Employers do have notice requirements under the WARN Act.

If an employer orders a plant closing or mass layoff, it is required to provide notification to the employees or their representatives, the state dislocated worker units, (so that they can promptly offer dislocated worker assistance), and the chief elected officials of local governments.

Notices to employees or their representatives. WARN requires employers to notify either the individual employees affected by a plant closing or mass layoff or their representatives at least 60 calendar days prior to any planned plant closing or mass layoff. If employees are terminated on different dates, the date of the first individual termination within the statutory 30-day or 90-day period triggers the 60-day notice requirement.

Notices to representatives. These notices must contain the following:

The name and address of the employment site where the plant closing or mass layoff will occur, and the name and telephone number of a company official to contact for further information
A statement about whether the planned action is expected to be permanent or temporary and, if the entire plant is to be closed, a statement to that effect
The expected date of the first separation and the anticipated schedule for making separations
The job titles of positions to be affected and the names of the workers currently holding affected jobs

We need to "invest" trillions of taxpayer dollar in a new works progress administration and of course......................."INFRASTRUCTURE"

Debt and civil servants create prosperity after all..........

I respectfully disagree with your assessment. Based on the failure that is now the Romney campaign, I can't even imagine him in the White House having to make really important decisions.
