I can't be too critical with that other post. We have done some nifty things as well.

Our proudest moment had to be the Marshall Plan. Using our money to rebuild our enemies after WWII. Sure it was a little self serving in hatred or fear of communist revolutions but it was pretty nice.

The Marshall Plan gets my vote over involvement in either World War because perhaps by fighting in Europe we could be accused of saving ourselves the trouble of eventually fighting Germans in North America. But it still was nice of us to get involved in them two European wars.

Honorable mention goes to white fathers in the North who risked the lives of their sons largely to free black men in the south. They did not win because they tired too quick and it took another hundred years to kill separate but equal.
