Because no one would pave roads unless there were laws and taxes demanding roads be paved. That explains why private subdivisions and apartments all have dirt roads.

I still always laugh when "roads" is the first retort...

Actually.. It would be a lot harder for newer Sub Division to have New Roads and that the State or Town makes sure to take care of them.

(The Reason I say roads is, it's what I use the most out of Tax Payer Funded Programs.)

My ideal form of government has been and always will be Self-government.

Next, the best form of government man can create is a Republic structured like the United States as it was originally set up with sufficient checks and balances on every power structure and strong local autonomy.

Keep the power as close to the people as possible.
