The recent Earthquake and Tsunami should be a wake up call to everyone everywhere. If you don't have at least a weeks worth of food, water and a first aid kit in your home you should get them now. I know they won't help is everything is washed away but those in Japan that weren't washed away will be on their own for a while before help arrives. At least fill your empty 2liter coke bottles with water and put them away. What happen in Japan could happen here and everyone should be prepared to take care of themselves for a while. It doesn't matter if you are Drm, Repub, conservative, liberal, believe in the nanny state or not sometime you may not be able to depend on someone else for your needs and safety.
