Do you note the similarities between the way he argues his case and the way ppl here argue??

I can pick out at least two and maybe more people who post regularly here who use the exact same tactics. Avoid the issue, deflect, deflect, deflect, intimidate, spaz out, deflect and avoid the issue.

In the 1960s, Bevel was a leader in the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC)

Sad. These people just keep doing their best to make Christians look bad.

"In 1992, he was vice presidential running mate to political maverick Lyndon LaRouche, who has a home in Loudoun County but at the time was in a federal prison for a tax conviction."

"Bevel, a top lieutenant to Martin Luther King Jr. who later was credited with helping conceive and organize the Million Man March, was arrested in June and charged with incest with his daughter while the two lived in Leesburg."

"During the call, Bevel constantly compares his actions with his daughter to his actions in the 1960s, when he was a leader in the drive to desegregate the South. Frequently when his daughter asks a question, he responds by asking her about his efforts during the 1965 march in Selma, or his confrontations with notorious Birmingham lawman Bull Connor."

Sounds like he's a bigger dem than he is a Christian.

    Okay, so Bevel's a scumbag.

The rest of your attempt to drag everyone he ever knew down with him is worthy of EOTS. Did he write this for you?

Kind of like leftwing Kool-Aid drinkers make liberals look bad.

Fact is, they only make Christians look bad to those of you who let people who obviously are not displaying anything taught as Christian virtue dictate what you think a "Christian" is. It's much worse when it's willful and purposeful.

I agree that his behavior shouldn't reflect on Christians, but why should it reflect on the civil rights movement? I am not aware that it involved anything having to do with incest.

That would be GunnyL's point exactly.
