YOUR AGE BY CHOCOLATE MATH (Freaky - it works...)

DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!
It takes less than a minute
Work this out as you read .
Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!
This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have
chocolate
(more than once but less than 10)

2 Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)

3. Add 5

4. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you get the calculator

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1755 ....
If you haven't, add 1754.

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number

The first digit of this was your original number
(i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).

The next two numbers are

YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)

These things are just math equations. There's no magic. Sorry folks :) Everytime you get a guess-your-age it's the same equation with different words. You can start with any number of days you want to eat chocolate, and always get the same answer. Engineers are no fun, are we?

Damn!- I wound up with 855.

I said I would like to have chocolate
nine times a week.

And I am 56 years old.

That's close enough to be impressive.

You (and everyone else who got the wrong answer) made a miscalculation. Check it out:

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have
chocolate
(more than once but less than 10)

9

2 Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)

18

3. Add 5

23

4. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you get the calculator

1150

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1755 ....
If you haven't, add 1754.

+1754
2904

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

-1949
955

You should have a three digit number

The first digit of this was your original number
(i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).

The next two numbers are

YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)

Edit: Actually, this one must have only worked for the year 2005. If you increase the numbers 1754 and 1755 by 1, then it should work for everyone. My mistake.

Originally, it said this would only work in 2005, but since it worked in 2006 for 4 other people, I figured that was a load of shit, so left that part out..

9x2=18

3. Add 5
18+5=23

4. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you get the calculator
23x50=1150

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1755 ....
If you haven't, add 1754.
1150+1754=2904

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.
2904-1980=924

You should have a three digit number
924

The first digit of this was your original number
(i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).
9 (right)

The next two numbers are YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)
Nope. I wish I was still 24. I am 25. This must have been from last year, 2005, because then I would have added 1755 rather than 1754 because it is now 2006.
didn't work. its a year off.

Do what Mr. Smartypants in the funny coat over there said.. Change the two large numbers by 1 digit - to account for this year, rather than last year.

I already posted my reasoning for leaving a portion of the initial post out.
