He was one of the neo-classical metal pioneers, like Uli Jon Roth but more technically proficient. Chris Impellitteri is another great I listen to all the time. So many great guitarists.

Jeff Beck is up there with the best of them, no doubt. I liked his early work with Rod Stewart. What ever he touched turned to gold.
