Yo T............every early Sunday AM, I go to a local huge car show down by the marina by me. Always.........about 50 Harley guys show up to hang...........full colors. Ive gotten to know many of them over the years. A bike rider like Shaman wouldnt come within 500 miles of these guys..........or he'd ride out with multiple broken bones, and Im not kidding. NONE of those Harely guys are limpwristers...............
You do realize that is not Shaman's bike?

That Bike is in a back issue of American Iron, in the Readers Rides section......Unless Shaman is a retired MARINE CORPS officer from Petaluma, who is the actual owner of said bike, he's full of shit.

I ride, A Harley Heritage, and custom West Coast Choppers Rigid Lowrider. I've got just about every issue for the last twenty years of most American Bike Mags.....That bike is in American Iron, and it's not Shaman's.

Dude couldn't handle a Yamaha YZ80 mini enduro, let alone a V-Twin.

Yo T...........think I missed something I added to my last post................

Went back to GAYBIKERS.com and saw this.................

Formed in 1977..........they are up to a whopping 500 members!!!:eek::eek:

And what a surprise..................look how many ride Harleys!!!:rofl::rofl::blowup:

 Growing up? I was into riding dirt bikes...like Husqvarna, CZ, Bultaco "El Banditos", Hodaka "Combat Wombats"... ;)

My boss btw? Rides a Harley...
LMAO!..........My neighbor had a "CW".

I started out on a YZ 125, and when I got a few paychecks in sophomore year of HS, I upgraded to a KTM 250.......That bike was just nasty.....Full race set up, and fast as hell.

Good point. Red States Rising,Blue States Falling for sure. Seriously, why would anyone want to live in New York at this point. I guess if you're a Taker, places like California & New York would seem attractive. But if you're a hard-working Taxpayer with a Family to take care of,California & New York would have to seem incredibly unattractive. Pretty soon the Blue States are only gonna have Loser-Takers as residents. All the hard-working productive Citizens will be residing in Red States. Most Blue States will likely resemble Detroit in the near future. Socialists/Progressives just don't have the answers.

The snag here, of course, is it was economics, not politics, that effect these changes - the same would have happened regardless of political party or philosophy.

The population of NY is somewhere around 20 million.

How many out of that 20 million constitutes a "fleeing"?

The snag here, of course, is it was economics, not politics, that effect these changes - the same would have happened regardless of political party or philosophy.

ROFL! Yeah, right. Confiscatory taxation, out of control unionism and excessive regulation have nothing to do with economics.

Liberals live in a state of denial. Their entire world view depends on the theory that their schemes to loot the productive members of society and turn us all into obedient little toads who commit economic suicide without hesitation no affect on the economic performance of the country. It takes a special talent for self delusion to swallow that view of reality.

The only whining I hear is from you red staters being invaded by Yankees.

That's all we need is a bunch if foolish liberal turds to come down here and screw their new home up the same way the screwed up the place they left.

ALBANY - Escape from New York is not just a movie - it's also a state of mind.

A new Marist College poll shows that 36% of New Yorkers under the age of 30 are planning to leave New York within the next five years - and more than a quarter of all adults are planning to bolt the Empire State.

The New York City suburbs, with their high property values and taxes, are leading the exodus, the poll found.

Of those preparing to leave, 62% cite economic reasons like cost of living, taxes - and a lack of jobs.

"A lot of people are questioning the affordability of the state," said Lee Miringoff, director of the Marist College Institute for Public Opinion.

An additional 38% cite climate, quality of life, overcrowding, a desire to be closer to family, retirement or schools.

Over one-third is a pretty staggering number, but it's not surprising. The cost of living in NYC or anywhere near it is outrageous. The cost of doing business in the state is incredibly high.

The fact of the matter of is you can achieve a higher standard of living in the southern U.S. for half the cost. That's one of the things that brought me here from Boston, but Boston was far livable than NYC. The future for New York City and State are bleak if they don't get their act together.

I hate to break it to you guys, but the cost of living in NY isn't high because of taxes.

It's high because that's how much people will pay to live there.
Completely false. Though the desire to live somewhere plays a large part in the cost of an apartment or the cost at a restaurant there are many other factors that are in play that artificially inflate that price to what it is. See some of my response to the next quote as that plays into this as well.

Millionaires flee because of high taxes - not necessarily middle income workers.

Another rightwing myth bites the dust:

Anti-tax advocates contend that higher taxes on the wealthy lead to millionaire flight. They say this has been seen in Maryland, Rhode Island, New Jersey and New York. The rich are mobile, they say. They can take their money, taxes and jobs wherever they are treated best.

But a new study focusing on New Jersey provides some of the most detailed evidence yet that so-called millionaire taxes have little effect on the movements of millionaires as a whole.

The study, by sociologists Cristobal Young at Stanford and Charles Varner at Princeton, studied the migration patterns of New Jersey’s millionaires before and after 2004, when the state imposed a “millionaire’s tax” that raised rates on those earning $500,000 or more to 8.97% from 6.37%.

The study found that the overall population of millionaires increased during the tax period. Some millionaires moved out, of course. But they were more than offset by the creation of new millionaires.

The study dug deeper to figure out whether the millionaires who were moving out did so because of the tax. As a control group, they used New Jersey residents who earned $200,000 to $500,000–in other words, high-earners who weren’t subject to the tax. They found that the rate of out-migration among millionaires was in line with and rate of out-migration of submillionaires. The tax rate, they concluded, had no measurable impact.

“This suggests that the policy effect is close to zero,” the study says.

Another Lie Debunked: People Don
Good link though to an obviously left wing slanted source. The article even goes so far as to suggest that higher taxes attract millionaires though their research shows that to be as untrue as the opposite. It is quite believable though. The fact is that an individual who is EARNING 9because that is where the taxes are levied) a million bucks a year is not going to be concerned about the measly 10 grand that he pays in state taxes.

The problem is not in income taxes that you seem to be focused on here but rather in tax policy as a whole as well as much of the liberal policy machine. It is not the rich that you should be worried about losing but rather the business and THAT is what is killing the likes of NY, CA and many other states. All states are suffering now but many are suffering far worse because the policies are destructive to small business. That is where tax matters, and not just taxes on earnings but also taxes as far as unemployment and other programs. Regulation also plays a huge part in that as well. Make a state unfriendly to business and many of those businesses will leave and even more importantly, many will never get started there in the first place. That is what causes people to leave. I know firsthand that the problems in CA started BEFORE the economic downturn and I imagine that is the case in many of these places.

Takers...Keep on Takin! Producers...Keep on Leavin! World...Keep on turnin! And we'll all be headin for higher ground. Sounds like a good song no?

New Yorkers pay more in federal taxes than we get back in federal spending. It's mostly the inbreds south of the Mason Dixon line who are on the teat.
Again this fact is pointed out and yet not one single liberal has come to the plate with the evidence that applies this to ANY situation. In order for this fact to mean anything whatsoever you would need to have a breakdown of where those government dollars are being spent. I have still not received an answer as to whether military installations and their costs are included in this, subsidies, ect. and any other federal spending. Your statistic is completely meaningless in its current form any the left posters here consistently parrot it without ever going into the details simply because it agrees with their particular worldview. For those on the left that cannot understand what I am getting at here is an example:
Think of how you throw up your arms and think what a moron every time you hear this:
AGW is false because it snowed more at my house today than it has in the past 50 years.

That is the same way I feel when you lefties pull out this statistic. Kind of reminds me of rdean…
The only whining I hear is from you red staters being invaded by Yankees.

That's all we need is a bunch if foolish liberal turds to come down here and screw their new home up the same way the screwed up the place they left.

Yeah, right, screwing it up by raising the IQ level and the property values.
Of course, typical liberal arrogance. Those people don’t agree with you so they must be morons and housing prices certainly will rise if liberals move to the neighborhood….

All you have to do is look at the states that the democrats have controlleed for years, NY,California, Michigan. They run them right into the ground, and then beg for federal funds.
Look at conservative run states, Texas, Florida and the like. They are not running deficits and dont ask for any type of bailouts, in fact, people are flocking to them to live and work in.
Proofs in the pudding.

And the Libs think we don't pay enough in taxes ! ! !

No! the libturds don't think. that's why their sorry assed bastions of liberalism from NY to DETROIT to CAlifornication are sinking rapidily.

So the high unemployment rates in the south are a sign of prosperity?

They are a sign that at one point, not very long ago, the democrats where in charge. If the people continue to vote conservative, the employment rates will go up, but that's where the libtards control things, they bank on their own shitty economics plan to take a few years for a conservative to correct and by the time it's corrected another dumbass lib is in office to take credit for it, and afterwards, the dumbass lib will then again fuck the economy up once again, it's an endless cycle.
If you look at states that have always been conservative "Texas and the like" they are way better off then places that have always been libtard "California". And dont say Ahnold was a conservative, he was nothing more then a hollywood liberal in disguise.

Yeah dumbfuck, the south is so bad in that it is growing in population and technology while NY is going backwards.

FYI....more people have died for this country from those "inbred" areas than NY full of assholes like you that have done nothing for this country.

The crappy weather alone is reason to leave New York. After three brutal winters in a row, how can they take anymore of it? and on top of that, being taxed 50%. I live in Naples,Fla, and our weather here has been perfect all year. {minus a few cold spells} but our cold spells are when days average around 65 degrees!

weatherwise, would you rather live in miserable cold/stormy/blizzard weather for 5 to 6 months,(often trapped in your homes) or five to six months of 85-94 degree weather where at least you have the convenience of leaving your home knowing you wont be caught on a slippery snowy/ice road?
