You want to hear a liar lie right to your face?

December 21, 2009
RUSH: Merry Christmas, happy holidays to all of you from all of us here at the Excellence in Broadcasting Network. You want to hear a liar lie? You want to hear a liar lie right to your face?

RUSH: This man [Obama] has spent more deficit money in one year than the Bush eight years in total, ladies and gentlemen.

How does Rush explain Bush Doubling the deficit?

How about Reagan Tripling the deficit?
The Republicans and your fellow RightWingers are such a bunch of first class DUNCES its enough to make one dizzy.

ReaganBushDebt.org

The Current ReaganBush Debt is: $11,178,823,533,027.80 which means that in a total of 20 years, these three presidents have led to the creation of 92.28% of the entire national debt.

Monday's figures capped a remarkable deterioration in the United States' budgetary health under Bush's time in office.

He inherited a budget seen as producing endless huge surpluses after four straight years in positive territory. That stretch of surpluses represented a period when the country's finances had been bolstered by a 10-year period of uninterrupted economic growth, the longest expansion in U.S. history.

In his first year in office, helped by projections of continuing surpluses, Bush drove through a 10-year, $1.35 trillion package of tax cuts.

Bush Leaving Next President Record Federal Budget Deficit

-------------------

All you have to do is an Internet search using the phrase, "bush didn't include cost of either war in budget" and you will get plenty to read from both the right and the left on the subject. Bush's budgets didn't seem so bad when he didn't include the cost of two wars. Then there was the $1.35 TRILLION in tax cuts for business and the very rich. When they stop paying, who picks up the slack, after all, wars cost money.

Republicans nearly brought the world economy to a resounding "thud" and they think they have the answer for what ails us? Hey, if 1.35 trillion in tax cute didn't stimulate the economy, why would it now? They say the definition of insanity is doing the same dumb thing over and over again and expecting different results. Republicans are insane. There can't possibly be any other explanation.

Actually Bush's deficit does include the cost of war -the spending for it came from emergency funding at first but that spending doesn't just disappear from the books. It IS absolutely part of his final deficit total. But Bush's eight years still can't hold a candle to just Obama's first half year in office when it comes to budget deficits, sorry. But let's pretend it is no big deal whatsoever that Obama QUADRUPLED Bush's final budget deficit in just his first six months. Gee, took EIGHT YEARS for Bush's deficit total and just SIX MONTHS for Obama to quadruple that. OF COURSE it means the deficit under Bush MUST have been worse -because hey, he's a REPUBLICAN and Obama isn't! So let's all insist Bush's deficit that was 1/4 the size Obama created in just his first half year in office was the one that was actually so out-of-control instead. ROFL God save us all from the useful idiots of the left.
When caught lying CON$ simply lie some more.

I've already debunked the 8 year total lie, now for the Obama quadrupled Bush's final budget in 6 months.
I've already posted LimpBoy saying that Obama's total debt for all of 2009 is 1.5 trillion.
Bush's last year of debt was 1.4 trillion. Only in CON$ervative "Fuzzy Math" is 1.4 trillion 4 times half of 1.5 trillion. :cuckoo:

Government - Debt to the Penny (Daily History Search Application)

In Bush's last year January 20, 2001, the national debt was:
$9,188,640,287,930.39
When "W" left office on January 20, 2009, the national debt was"
$10,626,877,048,913.08.
The growth in the national debt during his last year in office:
$1,438,236,760,982.69

You're comparing America's accumulated debt when Bush was in office, to the debt Obama has racked up BY HIMSELF since he took office.

Not only that, I don't trust your numbers.

PS...comparing the gross cumulative national debt to Obama's one year accrued national debt is dishonest, btw, and really erodes credibility on any issue.

"...the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates that, including the record 2009 budget deficit of $1.85 trillion, and huge annual deficits over 2009-2019 will result in an additional $11.1 trillion in national debt, on top of the current $11.4 trillion."
Obama On Course To Double National Debt - Forecasts & Trends - InvestorsInsight.com | Financial Intelligence, Advice & Research / Investment Strategies & Planning for Individual Investors.

That of course was an article written just a few months into Obama's spree, and the CBO was wildly optimistic at that time.

Obama spent 3 x more in his first year than Bush did in his last:
"The latest high-point is not unexpected, considering the federal deficit for the just-ended 2009 fiscal year hit an all-time high at $1.42-trillion – more than triple the previous year's record high."

Umm 2009 operated mostly off of Bush's budget.

Doen't change the fact that what was posted was the increase in the debt during THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION ONLY.

Sorry if that embarasses you to the point of having to try to divert attention to a different issue, but them's the FACTS.

How did Obama quadruple it? Didn't they just set the debt ceiling to 13 trillion or something. It was near 11 trillion I think before he whose name we will not speak left office.

Budget deficit to top $1.8 trillion; 4 times 2008's record...
With the economy performing worse than hoped, revised White House figures point to deepening budget deficits, with the government borrowing almost 50 cents for every dollar it spends this year.

The deficit for the current budget year will rise by $89 billion to above $1.8 trillion -- about four times the record set just last year.
High U.S. budget deficits are being driven by an economic crisis that President Barack Obama inherited, White House Budget Director Peter Orszag said on Monday.

Oh no, no, no, no. You mean to tell me that Bush's economy was so bad, his spending was so bad, that the only way to fix it is to spend 4 times more than Bush ever did? No sir, the budget deficit belongs entirely to Obama. Blaming Bush for Obama's socialist policies is just weak, it is just escapism, it is just deferring atrocious spending policies onto a whipping boy. Man up, and take some credit for your own actions Obama. Bush may have made many fiscal mistakes, but he didn't blame it on Clinton.
Notoriously Conservative: Obama's Budget Deficit 4 times Larger Than Bush's

I agree. I meant post some REAL proof that the debt accumulated during '09 can be attributed "mostly" to Bush, or admit you're being deliberately misleading...a.k.a., dishonest.
