Just a thought. Don't know if it would fly or not but I would frequent it.

Human rights is too broad, it can apply to almost anything.

Can be a matter of perspective.

I was under the impression that human rights is a universal term.

And I don't see how it's any broader (and is in fact not as broad) as "politics" "general discussion" or "eithics & religion"...

I believe that the term "Human Rights" is a misnomer.

The term, "Human Rights" leads an impression that humans are 'gifted' with rights by the very nature of simply being human.

Those who have fought for these rights know the truth.

There are no true human rights. Only the rights humans are able to give each other, or not give each other.

Put a human being alone on an island all alone.

What rights does the human have?

He has the right to survive. however, a right is a concept that means nothing in a vacuum.. a man on an island may have rights, but since there are no other humans to impose their will on him, his rights cannot be violated.

He has no right to survive if he can't survive. He has no rights to be violated.
