2) Govt. borrowings that make up the deficit in part caused by "JOBS Bill"??

4) Teachers/workers salaries get UNION DUES deductions.
5) Unions contract with ACORN et.al. to hire workers to protest at OWS!

I would not be surprised to discover that some people are getting paid at the OWS events.

Community organizers usually are on somebody's payroll.

My complaint is that there isn't more ADULT supervision at the OWS events.

Their unfocused complaints aren't nearly taking advantage of the crowds OWS has attracted.

That's an ignorant question. When we were paying for the second world war anyone who earned more than $300,000 a year paid 91% of the excess to the government. We used to pay for whatever America owed. A progressive tax system with marginal tax rates has always been the way. Right now the party of corporations and the wealthy are demanding more tax cuts while tax rates are the lowest they've been in fifty years.

How is it that in the 1940's and 1950's a corporate executive earned 10-15 times what a carpenter earned? How is it that by the 1970's that multiplier increased to 50 times what an ordinary working American earned? How is it that last year the average CEO was paid 550 times what a member of what used to be the middle class earned?

The supporters of the Republican party who aren't rich have their collective heads up their collective asses so far that they can't see anything but shit and I won't even get into what they breathe.

The Republican party has changed from one which supported balanced annual budgets, small government and individual rights to one which is bought and paid for by corporations and the wealthy. Anybody who fails to see that is one of those I just referred to.

Ronald Reagan and Bush41 borrowed $3 trillion from foreign banks, removed deductions of all types except interest on home mortgages for ordinary Americans, consequently increasing the taxes they paid, then the borrowed money ended up in the pockets of the very wealthiest Americans. George W. Bush assumed a balanced annual budget with surpluses projected all the way to the outyears and the entire debt on schedule to be completely paid off by 2012 and immediately began to cut taxes by the trillions with half of the cuts going to the wealthiest Americans. In other words financing tax cuts with borrowed money. He doubled the national debt from $5.7 to nearly $12 trillion.

Americans who are into this stuff part and parcel are anything but patriots. Sometimes I don't think we have any patriots left in this country. At least among those with the wealth and power.
