….until you lose it.
And that ain't just a Country and Western song!

1.This is especially appropriate when applied to the American healthcare system. When the Obamunists were all about instituting Bolshevik healthcare,….yes, ‘Bolshevik’ is the correct term:

Government control of private sector activity...is aptly described as Bolshevik- or Marxist, socialist, collectivist, statist, or, for that matter, fascist, too. Indeed, nationalized health care was one of the first programs enacted by the Bolsheviks after they seized power in 1917 (Banks, insurance companies and means of communications were also taken over by Soviet authorities immediately. Dziewanowski, "A History of Soviet Russia," p. 107.

2. What they lied about was that American healthcare was the best in the world, about 90% of those polled were more than satisfied with same, Americans have the longest lifespan in the industrialized world, and paid less out of pocket than the other nationalized systems.

3. The 20+ clowns running to replace the Republican President are at it again….

“Democratic candidates have run — and won — on a promise to fight to give all Americans access to government-run health care. A new Medicare-for-all bill in the House has more than 100 co-sponsors. But there are still real disagreements among Democrats. Some of the party’s 2020 presidential candidates have endorsed single payer, while others prefer more incremental improvements.” We read 9 Democratic plans for expanding health care. Here’s how they work.

5. And this, from the Daily Signal, today….

“Canadian Medicare, our northern neighbor’s universal health care system, generally receives rave reviews from proponents of nationalized or socialized health care, but the Fraser Institute found that more than 63,000 Canadians left their country to have surgery in 2016.

As Americans contemplate overturning our health system in favor of one similar to Canada’s, we must ask why so many leave.”

I'm call BS on the above statement and the ACA is more popular than ever now.

Before the ACA ins companies were capping ins and refusing to care for the insured. Also they had pre-existing conditions clause, if they didn't want to cover you, they wouldn't, or jack the prices so high that one could not afford it.
Also how many people declared bankruptcy for medical reasons.

Before the ACA health ins was a scam with soaring prices.

People will not realize what they had when the ACA goes away, like tramp and the GOP want to do, then will come SS and Medicare changes all to benefit the wealthy.

7. Don't forget, the Obamunists wanted to turn America's healthcare system into the British N.I.C.E.

"President Obama's nominee for director of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the office that oversees government health care programs, is Dr. Donald Berwick, an outspoken admirer of the British National Health Service and its rationing arm, the National Institute for Clinical Effectiveness (NICE).

"I am romantic about the National Health Service (NHS). I love it," Berwick said during a 2008 speech ...

PicExportError
Berwick was referring to a British health care system where 750,000 patients are awaiting admission to NHS hospitals.

PicExportError
The government's official target for diagnostic testing was a wait of no more than 18 weeks by 2008.

PicExportError
The reality doesn't come close; the latest estimates suggest that for most specialties, only 30 percent to 50 percent of patients are treated within 18 weeks.

PicExportError
For trauma and orthopedics patients, the figure is only 20 percent.

PicExportError
Overall, more than half of British patients wait more than 18 weeks for care.

PicExportError
Every year, 50,000 surgeries are canceled because patients become too sick on the waiting list to proceed.

The one thing the NHS is good at is saving money. After all, it is far cheaper to let the sick die than to provide care, says Tanner.

At the forefront of this cost-based rationing is NICE. It acts as a comparative effectiveness tool for NHS, comparing various treatments and determining whether the benefits the patient receives, such as prolonged life, are cost efficient for the government.

Dr. Berwick wants to bring NICE-style rationing to this country. "It's not a question of whether we will ration care," he said in a magazine interview for Biotechnology Healthcare, "It is whether we will ration with our eyes open."

Maybe those worries about death panels weren't so crazy after all, says Tanner.

8. "...most people see surgeons only after a referral by either their primary care physician in America, or their general practitioner in Canada. In the United States, 70% of patients are able to be seen by specialists less than four weeks after a referral. In Canada, less than 40% were seen inside of four weeks.

After being advised that they need a procedure done, only about 35% of Canadians had their surgery within a month, whereas in the United States, 61% did. After four months, about 97% of Americans were able to have their surgery, whereas Canada struggled to achieve 80%.

America is significantly outperforming Canada in surgery wait times even as it’s likely that tens of thousands of Canadians come here to use the American system."

This appears to be another lie or very deceptive at best:
The United States has, easily, the most expensive health-care system in the world, but that hasn't translated into better outcomes on a variety of fronts.

In 2013, 17.1 percent of the U.S. gross domestic product was spent on health care, which was 50 percent more than France, the No. 2 country, according to a 2015 analysis by the Commonwealth Fund.

Americans also spend more out of pocket on health care, the Commonwealth report said.

That report estimated the average U.S. resident spent $1,074 in 2013 on out-of-pocket on health care, for things like copayments for doctor’s office visits and prescription drugs and health insurance deductibles.

"Only the Swiss spent more at $1,630, while France and the Netherlands spent less than one-fourth as much ($277 and $270, respectively)," the report said.

How to judge healthcare:

a) life expectancy: many people die for reasons that can’t be controlled the medical profession, such as auto accidents, murder, etc., and once you factor out care crashes and homicides, the US ranks number one in worldwide life expectancy!

“One often-heard argument, voiced by the New York Times' Paul Krugman and others, is that America lags behind other countries in crude health outcomes. But such outcomes reflect a mosaic of factors, such as diet, lifestyle, drug use and cultural values. It pains me as a doctor to say this, but health care is just one factor in health.

In The Business of Health, Robert Ohsfeldt and John Schneider factor out intentional and unintentional injuries from life-expectancy statistics and find that Americans who don't die in car crashes or homicides outlive people in any other Western country.

And if we measure a health care system by how well it serves its sick citizens, American medicine excels.

b. " The standardized estimate of life expectancy at birth is the mean of the predicted value for each country over the period 1980–99. As shown in table 1-5, the raw (not standardized) mean life expectancy at birth for the United States over this period was 75.3 years, compared to 78.7 years for Japan, 78.0 years for Iceland, and 77.7 years for Sweden. However, after accounting for the unusually high fatal-injury rates in the United States, the estimate of standardized life expectancy at birth is 76.9 years, which is higher than the estimates for any other OECD country."

Perhaps I should summarize the salient fact, as easily led dunces keep seeking a way to support the Obamunist propaganda.

The aim of government control of healthcare is to increase the size, scope, and reach of big government.

It is the never-ending aspiration of Communism, Socialism, Liberalism, Progressivism, Fascism, and Nazism.

9. “This has been a consistent trend since at least 2014, when an estimated 52,513 Canadians left for their medical care. In 2015, the number went down slightly to 45,619. 2016 exceeded the 2015 number with an estimated 63,459 patients seeking care elsewhere.

Moreover, both countries have had comparable rates of private health insurance coverage for the past 20 years, roughly 60-70%. But the Canadian private insurance market is entirely supplemental—it covers co-payments for services not covered or not entirely covered by the provincial insurance.

Primary coverage, which is the predominant form of insurance in America, is all but illegal in Canada, and would be under “Medicare for All” as well.

In the United States, government insurance covers gaps left by the private market. Private insurance is the norm and Medicare and Medicaid provide a health insurance safety net for elderly or low-income Americans.”

American Health Care Treats Canadians Who Cannot Wait

10. Obama adviser Rattner admitted the design of Obamacare:
"Well, maybe not death panels, exactly, but unless we start allocating health care resources more udently — rationing, by its proper name — the exploding cost of Medicare will swamp the federal budget."
Opinion | Health Care Reform Beyond Obamacare

Put Democrats in charge, and you quickly learn that everything.....every thing.....they told you is a lie.

11. Just a little historical review….and a bit on the elegiac side….

Obama wasn't the first Bolshevik to support socialized medicine…. there was Henry Sigerist: "He devoted himself to the study of history of medicine. Socialized Medicine in the Soviet Union (1937), and History of Medicine were among his most important works. He emerged as a major spokesman for "compulsory health insurance". ...He attacked the American Medical Association because of his conflicting views on socialized medicine." Henry E. Sigerist - Wikipedia

a.And, Sigerist was one of the apologists for Stalin, including his state-engineered famine in the Ukraine. 7 million perished (The History Place - Genocide in the 20th Century: Stalin's Forced Famine 1932-33).

b. Sigerist "shared with the architects of Soviet health policy under Stalin an outlook best described as medical totalitarianism. He really believed that humanity would be better off if every individual were under the medical supervision of the state from cradle to grave....[and] Sigerist's belief in the necessity for state control over all aspects of medicine ultimately made him an apologist for state control over most aspects of human life." Fee and Brown, eds. "Making Medical History: The Life and Times of Henry E. Sigerist," p. 252

Would you have believed Stalin if he told you how much better things would be under his management?

You can’t miss the similarity, can you.

12. You never realize what you had until you lose…this:

“…the United States functions well compared to Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries in terms of death avoidance:

PicExportError
Mortality reductions from prostate and breast cancers have been exceptionally rapid in the United States relative to a set of peer countries.

PicExportError
These unusually rapid declines are attributable to wider screening and more aggressive treatment of these diseases.

PicExportError
Screening for other cancers also appears unusually extensive, and five-year survival rates from all of the major cancers are very favorable.

PicExportError
Survival rates following heart attack and stroke are also favorable (although one-year survival rates following stroke are only average), and the proportion of people with elevated blood pressure or cholesterol levels who are receiving medication is well above European standards. http://www.nber.org/digest/dec09/w15213.html

13. "The common wisdom holds that 'both parties' have to appeal to the extremes during the primary and then move to the center for the general election. To the contrary, both parties run for office as conservatives. Once they have fooled the voters and are safely in office, Republicans sometimes double-cross the voters. Democrats always do."
Coulter

And this certainly applies to the healthcare rhetoric coming from the Democrat debates.

But, remember, not all lies are of the same caliber. It’s one thing for a candidate to promise to put a chicken in your pot, and then renege.

Worst that happens is you go without chicken soup one night.

But compare that to the Democrat plan to saddle you with the Canadian, or British, healthcare system…..and you actually get sick.

That’d be pretty serious.

Remember the rule #1….it’s the way to judge every Democrat promise:

Rule #1
Every argument from Democrats and Liberals is a misrepresentation, a fabrication, or a bald-faced lie.

….until you lose it.
And that ain't just a Country and Western song!

“Canadian Medicare, our northern neighbor’s universal health care system, generally receives rave reviews from proponents of nationalized or socialized health care, but the Fraser Institute found that more than 63,000 Canadians left their country to have surgery in 2016.

"Warren: Everybody Will Transition to Government-Run Health Care Plan

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) discussed her health care plan Friday, outlining a vision where everyone eventually "transitions" to a government health care plan.

"Your Medicare for All proposal would eliminate private insurance, correct? Is that right?" Des Moines Register opinion editor Kathie Obradovich asked Warren at a presidential candidate forum.

Warren, who raised her hand at last month's Democratic debate to indicate she would abolish Americans' private health insurance plans, briefly hesitated before answering.

"What it does is it transitions people to more complete insurance coverage, more complete health care coverage, at a lower cost, which I think is what we all want," she said. "Everyone gets covered, but we do it at the lowest possible cost."

Warren supports Sen. Bernie Sanders's (I., Vt.) single-payer Medicare for All, which Sanders said last week would cost up to $40 trillion over the next decade. Other Democrats running for president have said there should be a role for private insurance, supplemental care, or a public option to buy into a government-run program."
