I really hate when liberals set up straw men to attack and pretend as though they are being intellectually honest and are somehow morally superior to the rest of us.

For instance, No one has ever said that conseratives, Republicans, or President Bush are blameless about anything. Quite the opposite.

However, you've got to be absolutely delusional if you think that this accident was somehow President Bush's responsibility when he hasn't been in office for almost two years and that somehow President Obama holds no responsibility whatsoever. At some point you need to stop blaming your predecessor and get your butt to work.

And honestly, I don't really care whose fault it is. My concern has always been fixing the problem. Something that hasn't even been attempted by anyone other than BP and Governor Jindal. Yet, we can't support them in those efforts?

For 8 years, the EPA, OSHA, Wall Street were deregulated. Sensible regulations were replaced with "Voluntary Compliance".

The CIA was angry because Bush and the Republicans accused them of sending "faulty data" about Iraq. So many quit, the CIA ended up in disarray.

FEMA was headed by a man who judged "horse shows". Brownie left that organization in disarray.

Then there are the twin disasters of Iraq and Afghanistan.

Not to mention the disaster of Alberto Gonzales at the Justice Department. Hell, Bush even tried to get his secretary confirmed as a "Supreme Court Judge".

Bush was like Midas. Only everything he touched turned to shit.

And now, less than two years later, Republicans are angry. They say they are angry because Obama hasn't fixed 8 years of fuck up in less than two. But even with Republican obstructionist policies, Obama is still managing to improve things.

And just look at who Bush left in charge of the Department that hands out oil leases. Another "Brownie".

Oil companies wrote their own inspection reports in pencil, then inspectors, still there from the Bush administration, would "TRACE" the reports in ink. Couldn't ya just die?

Sometimes I think Republicans left such a mess, Obama might have done better to fire the entire government and hire everyone from scratch.

And after all that, 8 years of disaster, many Republicans, if not most, still believe Bush was a good president.
