You have to admit, it's pretty darn FUNNY!

I just watched Governor-elect Chris Christie (R-NJ) give a victory speech and I can't imagine anyone who watched it wasn't rolling in "irony".

Cristie went on and on about how the American people have rejected personal attacks and smears. You see, Corzine focused on Christie's weight during the campaign. These days, that type of campaigning is definitely a losing strategy. Personal attacks make you look desperate and it makes you look like you have nothing else to run on.

The irony is that came from a Republican.

Remember:

Racist
Marxist
Fascist
Socialist
Empty suit
Fried Chicken and ribs
Terrorist
Illegal Alien
Kill Grandma
Death Panels
Appeaser
Dithering

It proves that a Republican can win, but not by calling Michelle Obama a “ho” or any of the other personal and disgraceful attacks by Republicans. It makes them look, well, “desperate” and makes them look like “they have nothing else to run on.

Don't see many personal attacks in those phrases. What the hell is wrong with fried chicken and ribs by the way?

The blind must think that the Dems never do personal attacks, so I can see how it would be ironic.

Si, you're an intelligent poster. Has someone redefined the meaning of the word 'irony' and not told me? I'm usually really good at seeing the irony.

how did running against bush work out for the dems......btw...i thought the pubs were toast and would never win a seat again.....

Yeah, whats funny is everyone seems to think the nation is completely different one way or another. it hasnt. the nations just as screwed up as it ever was.

It's possible that a redefinition did actually occur without my knowledge as I have yet to receive my official lexicon of Newspeak. Which reminds me that I have to get another complaint letter out about that.

Not personal attacks, "personal defense".

I see the list of Republican attacks that continue on a daily bases. I hear Republican say, "b b b b but the Democrats do it to", then, very occasionally, they come up with maybe one. Even that one usually turns out to be a "stretch".

Then you chose not to see or hear it. I hear the name-calling against anyone who is not extreme liberal left all the time. Or do you think that calling people racist is a nice thing to do?

You mean like what Glenn Beck called Obama?

Besides, considering the number of blacks the Confederate party has attracted over the last 8 years, it could be considered a "logical" conclusion.

Glenn Beck is perfectly entitled to voice his opinion, as are you. The only difference is that he manages to get paid a substantial amount of money for.

For the record, I agree with Glenn Beck. I formed this opinion based on evidence of Obama's raicial bias toward blacks.

Idiot.

Is this Corzine's campaign manager? Look, you lost! The time for your bizarre & convoluted spin is over. Christie sent that corrupt rat Corzine back to his rat hole where he belongs. WTG Christie!

Who even knows what you are ranting about. NEXT!

Did they win any seats in this election? They did win two governorships. Congratulations.

With the exception of a special election, since this is an odd numbered year (feel free to update this possibly stale information, of course), there were not a whole lot of "seats" up for grabs.

But nice attempt at rationalization. :cuckoo:

Loon.

did christie personally use the attacks he criticized? if not, your post is a big fat loser....

and how are any of the things you mentioned attacks? and name all the so called republicans who did this.....you using a wide brush to falsely make claims about a whole party

No, no. Republicans put a lot of money into the NY race and they were quite certain they would take it. Had that happened, they would be posting thread after thread bragging about it.

Sarah and Fred just couldn't get the job done. I don't know how any Republican can still have that kind of faith in them. (Sorry about Fred but it's a fact he just didn't get it done.)
