i've had a prescription for birth control my whole life... for medical reasons. why shouldn't my insurance policy cover that.

if they don't want it to be covered by insurance, it should be over the counter. you don't need a doctor to write a prescription for the movies.

again, they pay for viagra. and if an insurance company covers prescriptions they should cover all prescriptions.

to be fair, there's also a societal interest in people using birth control. and maybe someone like me can afford the monthly fee (although frankly, my insrance policy costs so much that it covering any and all scripts shouldn't be an issue)... but someone who doesn't have much money can't necessarily afford it. should a person who can afford least to have an unwanted child, not be able to get birth control? and what is better for society? insurance companies doing their job and covering scripts? or us paying for the care of unwanted children?

and remember... the people pushing these things are the very ones who want abortion to be illegal.

just because sex can and should be recreational doesn't make take birth control out of the realm of the medical.

i also note you didn't respond to the issue of viagra being covered.

oh...and insurance companies do, in fact, cover birth control now. the righties want to change that. no one ever complained about it. and insurance companies have the second largest profits of any industry after the oil industry.

Many many women are against abortion, just as many men are for it (like myself). In fact many of the loudist pro-lifers tend to be female!

There are laws ont he books on equal pay and Romney NOR any Republicans even interested in repealing it or discussing appealing it. That is a liberal lie, but maybe Obama is, considering how few females his administration hired!!!!

If your healthcare plan cover the pill, then good for you, but the government shouldn't be dictating that it does. Nevertheless condoms are never covered in any plan, so could I make the argument that the ACA is against men! Why should you get free birth control, but I can't get free birth control and STD preventions? The GOP isn't even arguing it can't be covered, they could care less what an employer wishes to cover. HOWEVER, they are concerned about the GOVERNMENT forcing an employer, such as a religious institution, to cover something they disagree with! It would be like forcing your employer to cover the gay corrective psychotherapy!

Obamacare also forces people to have their body fat calculated and the only reason to do that is to force people to diet or deny further care. No choice. If you are over 75, you and your doctor will not make decisions regarding your health. A government panel with do that for you. No choice.
