You don't Kill The Goose That Lay the Golden Eggs i

Metaphors aside we are the first generation of Americans who are better off then our children will be, to me at least, that is terribly shameful and unacceptable.

Then why do you support the covetous selfish people who think they can just demand everything they want without working for it who are freaking destroying this nation???

So if we stop all entitlements, we will be better off? If we stop paying out any and all welfare, we will be better off? Do you really believe this? Will it change the fact that there are 15 million unemployed who want to work but can't find work? Will throwing millions off of welfare reduce or add to our unemployment numbers? Can you agree that unemployment would then double?

For the most part, if our economy was strong and we had 4% to 5% unemployment, and tax revenues were much higher, we wouldn't even be discussing those who are on welfare. But because the economy is not where we believe it should be, we look for scapegoats, and it seems that the poor are the ones we always point the blame to when in fact, they have nothing to do with the state of the economy.
