1. A vulture tagged by environmental scientists at Tel Aviv University was arrested after straying into Saudi Arabian territory, reportedly on suspicions that the bird was a spy for Israel’s Mossad. Haaretz.com reports:
Although these tags indicate that the bird was part of a long-term research project into migration patterns, residents and local reporters told Saudi Arabia’s Al-Weeam newspaper that the matter seemed to be a “Zionist plot.”
The accusations went viral, with hundreds of posts on Arabic-language websites and forums claiming that the “Zionists” had trained these birds for espionage.

2. 'Mossad may be behind Red Sea shark attacks'
Egyptian authorities leaving no stone unturned in bid to discover mysterious shark attacks which left German tourist dead. 'Mossad plot not out of the question,' says South Sinai governor
Others suggested it could have been part of a secret plot by Israel's Mossad intelligence agency.

In a report that may indicate Egyptian authorities believe the IDF-commando-turned-hairdresser from the 2008 Hollywood film You Don't Mess With Zohan is more fact than fiction, Egypt's official state paper Al Ahram reported Israeli citizen Ofir Harari, recently accused by Egypt of spying for Israel, was involved in a scheme to cause mass infertility in Egypt via hair products.

Harari, accused by Egypt of being an agent of the Mossad, is set be tried in absentia on charges of "spying for a foreign country with the purpose of harming Egyptian national interests," news agency MENA reported.
"According to the public prosecutor's office's investigation," Al Ahram reported. "'Mossad agent Ofir Harari' instructed Jordanian Ibrahim abu-Zaid to set up a company in Egypt which would exclusively import an Israeli hair product, for both men and women, which causes infertility. Whether it is books written in Arabic or books translated into Arabic, there’s just not much of it about, and what there is — with some highly notable exceptions — is generally published in very poor quality, be it the quality of the language or the quality of the print and paper.

Back in 2003 we all gasped in shame when a UN report pointed out that more books are translated into Spanish a year than have been translated into Arabic in a millennium. We gasped but we were not surprised, not really. Those with an elite view of the world shrugged their shoulders and said, “Well, that’s because we read in English”. Some took a predictable political stance: “Well yes, why should we translate works from the West when our own culture is so rich?” And my personal favorite was: “Who needs books when you have the Internet?” But all of it masked an important truth: We don’t read enough. I'm afraid that can be said for the American youth too.


It is always easier to blame the boogieman (for Arabs the boogieman is the Jew) for everything, even outrageous things. We even do it here, blaming other people. Many times we bring it upon ourselves but instead of accepting responsibility people try to blame others. Not sure if this is human nature or just how they are raised.
