You Can't Reason with Rocks

Go ahead and push through this bill that more the half the country opposes.

And watch the dems go back to the obscurity they suffered from for years.

Go ahead, be arrogant.

And yes, talking to the hard left is like talking to a rock, they aern't listening to their own supporters who don't want this.
Xeno, you and Pale are wrong on this.

They WILL pass this over the will of the people, but they will pay NO cost for it, come election time. Because by then the economy will be "sold" as a "great recovery" and all of the sheep will be back in the pen, voting for the same congresscritters they always do.

THIS is what Dems are gambling on, and it's a damn good gamble.

Wow Midnight!

You're no dummy , are you?

You would be entirely right on your projections.

All I would add to your words is that it's time to stop pussyfooting around and get it done.

No sense playing with the Republicans anymore sine they don't know how to play in the first place.

Nope.

Our Dem friends here didn't talk about something that happened recently BTW, the overseas markets nearly caved friday as they realised the 'recovery' was smoke and mirrors, and the dow lost 180 points.

If they are 'banking' on trying to sell a 'recovery' they are betting a losing horse.

And you are skipping human nature, people don't like it when you do something they don't want, when YOU voted them in.

No spin can fix that.

Ask Bush senior: "read my lips, no new taxes"

The Dems need no GOP votes or support to pass anything they wish.

The elections are more than a year away. This health scare bill? Doesn't go into effect for more than a year after passage. The folks have short memories, the anger will subside, and the incumbents for the most part, with small exceptions, will get re-elected.

That was then, this is now. The sheep will all vote for their Dems when the chips are down. They're ALL invested in Obama's success over any other consideration.

You heard it here first. Bookmark it.

I've called every election and midterm correctly since 1988.

We will see if I suddenly can't do it right anymore.

Don't bet on it.

So you say that no one really wants healthcare reform?

No one really thinks that Americans can have a system that actually helps keep people halthy and alive at half the cost just like 36 other countries in this world who do it better than us?

Why the fuck do you people think we are incapable of doing what others have already proven has worked?

It's all changed now, the political landscape.

But yes, we shall see.

Glenn Beck - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Beck was born in Mount Vernon, Washington in February 1964, and raised a Roman Catholic. His early life was pitted with tragedies; his mother and one of his brothers committed suicide, and a sibling had a fatal heart attack.[2] He graduated from Sehome High School in Bellingham, Washington in 1982.

A 2007 profile in "LDS Living" magazine provides a comprehensive history of Beck's early life and career in radio, and states that his first significant exposure to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints came at age 18 when, after graduating high school, he moved from Washington to Salt Lake City, Utah and shared an apartment with a former Mormon missionary. The article goes on to say that his first marriage ended in divorce at age 30 (1994). He and his second wife, Tania, joined the church in October 1999, partly at the urging of his eldest daughter, Mary, who has cerebral palsy.[3]

Beck was admitted to a special program for non-traditional students at Yale University while he was working for a New Haven-area radio station, having received at least one of his recommendations from Senator Joe Lieberman. During this time Beck took a single theology class, dropping out around the time of his divorce.[4]

Beck is a self-described recovering alcoholic and addict. He and his first wife divorced amid his struggle with substance abuse. Beck cites the help of Alcoholics Anonymous in his sobriety, and he eventually converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,[5] which teaches against the consumption of alcohol.

By his first marriage, Beck has two teenage daughters, Hannah and Mary. With his second wife, Tania, he has two children, Raphe and Cheyenne. He is currently a resident of New Canaan, Connecticut.

I think they should go it alone... Barry Zero and his brain-dead minions are betting the farm on Gubmint Healthcare... Doesn't matter who is for or against it...

Passage of a hugely unpopular bill will just ensure that this 4-year experiment in Marxism will fail and be done with come 1/20/2013... We'll just have to hope our bank accounts can last that long...

CNN loved him and lost him! From your link:

In January 2006, CNN's Headline News announced that Beck would host a nightly news-commentary show in their new primetime block Headline Prime. The show, simply called Glenn Beck, aired weeknights at 7:00 p.m., repeating at 9:00 p.m. and midnight (all times Eastern) from May 8, 2006 to October 16, 2008.
By 2007, Beck's success on CNN had ABC wanting him for occasional appearances on Good Morning America.[citation needed]
CNN Headline News described the show as "an unconventional look at the news of the day featuring his often amusing perspective on the top stories from world events and politics to pop culture and everyday hassles."[8] At the end of his time at CNN-HLN, Beck had the second largest audience behind Nancy Grace.[9] On July 21, 2008, Beck filled in for Larry King on the show Larry King Live.[10] In 2008, Beck won the Marconi Radio Award for Network Syndicated Personality of the Year.[11]

Another republican praying for the economy to fail. Look at your economic indicators, most have either halted the Bush decline or reversed. Index of leading economic indicators are up for the third consecutive month, housing starts up, stock market plunge has been reversed.
Obama will run on a "Are you better off than you were four years ago" platform.
Republicans don't have a prayer....Palin/Prejean 2012

Glenn Becks "ideas"

The book documents the out of control spending by the government( Both sides of the isle get gored), by the numbers, peoples numbness to the assaults of freedom & liberty and the coarseness in public discourse.
He recommends reading history and personal responsibility as solutions
If you do not think government is grown beyond constitutional boundaries and you are not taxed enough and want other people to solve your problems , you will find little of interest in the book.
