For those looking to help out in some sort of way with the ongoing relief efforts in the wake of the recent Tsunami in Asia that has claimed over 80,000 lives - there are several places you can do so:

    WorldVision

    Red Cross via Amazon.com

Thank You George W. Bush for paying us a day early

the amazon donation system is really, really easy.

worldvision is another, and it is a world class charity.

We always get paid a day early, when pay-day is on a federal holiday - which 31 December is. :) I'm not due a paycheck until 6 Jan. We don't get paid monthly - but bi-weekly

I thought it was something special for the Tsunamis.

well for me i was waiting to donate until i got paid cause i had no money left (shipping presents from japan is expensive, but the military mail is horrible so...)... so it was a pleasant surprise to get it a day early and join the crush of Americans and others around the world helping out... for the first time all week, i didn't feel helpless... it lasted about 3 minutes, but man was it an improvement for 3 minutes...
