You are nothing but a bunch of damn bed-wetters

Exactly how does him being in constant campaign mode equal a bad thing? And how does this really relate at all to a dumb off-the-cuff attempted funny that he tried to make?

Some of see him being in constant campaign mode in his quest to bring this nation into a Socialist Eutopia rather disturbing. That is what my "campaign mode" meant. I'm surprised that you didn't see it.

And it was more than a dumb "Off -the cuff" remark. It was whining on his part, and spoke to his worries as his poll numbers continue to fall as Americans in daily large numbers tell Obama and the Statists to fuck off.

All presidents do that. I would rather have that than some dink who just pushed things through without trying to sell it. Selling it takes time, which means that there is time for debate. Which is what has happened here. Obama has essentially lost this one, which is good and what debate is supposed to do.

Interesting that you would say that. Stimulus package (Mr Bush's and Mr Obama's) was pushed through with minimal debate, the health care thing was a major attempt at pushing through without any debate. What about cap-and-trade? Seems this congress and administration is trying to push through all kinds of things as quickly as possible with as little debate as possible.

All of the examples you provided are prime examples of why they should be debated. They are all crap.

The problem is that Obama has Congress, the Senate, and him. If he loses the debate (ands he has), he still has the nuclear option in the Senate. That means 51 votes, and we're toast.

They're contesting it. As is their right as American citizens, and the majority, in a republic such as ours.

It is called debating when the left wants to discuss the War on Iraq or Bush's Social Security Reform. It is called whining when the right wants to discuss trillion dollar stimulus plans or a plan to force everyone onto public assistance health care... go figure.

Then he likely does not get re-elected. And he knows it. So he has to have some political cover and have some Repubs jump ship. Which is why he's been campaigning so hard for them.

Yes, one side that is protesting an illegal occupation vs. another side that is filled with lies, not even arguing real point, but made up fictional points they were brainwashed into believing, and carrying guns with them (you know, guns are an important component of health care)... somehow are equal in your backwards world?

I will be the card carrying representative of the liberal party and say that WE WELCOME AND ENCOURAGE HONEST AND SINCERE DEBATE ON ANY ISSUE that the right has.

What we don't support is people who don't even know what they are talking about, purposely trying to interrupt and disturb REAL information from being disseminated because a democracy CANNOT function properly unless people have real facts and good information.

So you and fox, and all the nutty right-wing blow hards can drop your crosses, and end the whole martyr fallacy because the left isn't trying to censor your 1st amendment rights, 2nd amendment rights.... we just want your souls, that's all. :cuckoo:

First off, after the capture of Saddam, I was opposed to the war or at least the war in Iraq. I believed we should be fighting terrorism, but not as it was being fought. Also, Social Security Reform was mentioned in my post... do you consider that open for debate? No, of course not, because it was not brought to the table by a liberal.

Second, it is plainly obvious by everyone of your attacks of me, that you have no intention of encouraging open debate. I have sincerely stated my feelings on the issue and you act like someone employed by Nancy Pelosi herself.

Third your statement about fictional points is hogwash. In our discussion the other night, nor in anything I have read from you since then, have you come up with any sort of proof that I am wrong. You lay back and claim I am brainwashed, yet, you have not linked to one source to prove your lies. Got any links to back up your bullshit? No, I don't think so.

Fourth, I believe You meant the fact that some people brought guns to the Presidential Rally in Phoenix regarding your gun comments. Perhaps you would like to peruse the thread I started about that. It has been very popular and gotten me in a lot of hot water with those on the right. Here's a link:

http://www.usmessageboard.com/curre...sters-carrying-rifle-outside-obama-rally.html

You do know what links are for, don't you? I'm not so sure, because in our discussions you have not been able to back up Jack Shit.

Fifth, what you really don't support is dissension.

Sixth, if you want to prove me wrong... be my guess. But, those are "made up fictional points" is not proof of anything. Let's see your proof?

I hate to say this, but I think you are lying about not wanting to censor my 1st amendment rights. Many on the left feel much the same way that I do about it. We all have the right to speak. However, there are extremes on both sides of the spectrum who don't believe that the other side has the right to speak. I'm thinking you are on the extreme left.

...Especially from the people....And in Obama's style? He diminishes the debate...by minimizing the PEOPLE who have a large part in this, since the people will have to bear the brunt of this wrecklessness by this Statist.

Sorry Immie but there is just no defense of the tactics that the right is using in the so called health care "debate". It's ignorant, hate filled, fear mongering full of falsehoods and outright lies just look around on these boards.

It goes both ways PI2.

I have my belief about what this plan will do and I have stated them to the best of my ability. If I am wrong then I am more than willing to discuss the issue and learn more about it. However, "that is a lie" is not an argument. It is not proof. It is not discussion and that is about all I have read from the left to date. We get nothing of substance from the defenders of this plan. The only thing we hear is, "you're fear-mongering". That's bullshit. There is no argument there. Tell me where I am wrong. Prove to me that the prohibition of writing new contracts from Y1 D1 won't absolutely kill the industry. I believe it will and I have stated my reasons for doing so in a reasonable manner. I have been called a fear monger for doing so, but no one from the left can tell me why I am wrong.

Care has made some arguments about what she see's from this plan. She and I disagree but at least she's trying. A few others have as well. Sorry, PI2, just realized you are new and may not know who Care is. Care is the nickname for my favorite poster... Care4all, but don't tell her I said she was my favorite. Oh and don't tell any of the other ladies on site either. It will get me in even bigger trouble than being a fear-monger

I may very well be wrong in my belief that the intention of this plan by the U.S. government is control of the Health Insurance Industry, the elimination of Private Insurance, bigger government and higher taxes. But, don't tell me I am a liar for stating my beliefs in a manner that is open for debate.

Prove to me that I am wrong. It would not be the first time someone has done so and won my respect for doing so. Also note: I'm a Taurus and I am stubborn as all hell, you can ask Care4all about that, but I am open to learning and being proven wrong.

What do you say to a blatant lie some of these claims are so Ignorant and over the top they don't even deserve to be addressed. Let's take the "Death Panel" rhetoric that has been flung about. How do you make the leap from verbage in the bill speaking of "end of life counseling" to the formation of a death panel? It was fear mongering and a lie plain and simple. As far as the Government taking over the Health care industry show me where in the Bill that they are moving in and taking over. Whatever you read into the bill is your business but there is no legitimate support for your fear of the government taking over the health care industry if there is language that supports your position please feel free to post it. And don't hand me the argument of prove me wrong how about you prove yourself right.

With a statement like that I have to wonder why you bother to post here at all shouldn't you be storing food and water in the bunker and hunkering down? Or maybe cracking a cold one and tuning in American Idol.

How about you post a passage from the bill and try and give us your interpretation to support the statements you've made. Otherwise I am going to go watch the grass grow.
