CDZ "You all just got a lot richer," Trump tells friends

Surely you remember these Trump assertions:

• This is going to cost me a fortune this thing, believe me, believe me. This is not good for me, me it's not so good for.
• The rich will not be gaining at all with this plan. We are looking for the middle class and we are looking for jobs -- jobs being the economy.

Over the Christmas holiday, however, Trump, referring to the tax bill he'd recently signed, said to members of his Mar-a-Lago club ($200K initiation; $14K annual dues), "You all just got a lot richer."

...Was that what the bill was supposed to do? Indeed, by Trump's own assertions, the bill was supposed to cost people like him "a fortune."
