Yesterday Obama Signed Bill To Provide Armed SS Protection For Life For Himself

I didn't know this wasn't already in place but yesterday Obama assured that he would have armed Secret Service protection for life and protection for his children till they reach 16.

President Barack Obama signed a bill into law on Thursday guaranteeing himself Secret Service protection for the rest of his life.

White House press secretary Jay Carney said Obama signed the “Former Presidents Protection Act of 2012” on Thursday. The law affects Obama, former President George W. Bush and future presidents, who under current law would only be protected for 10 years after leaving office.

According to the press secretary’s office, the law “restores lifetime Secret Service protection of former Presidents who did not serve as President prior to January 1, 1997, and their spouses; and provides for protection of all children of former Presidents until they become 16 years of age.”

Republican South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy introduced the bill in the House.​

Just another example of the utter hypocrisy of this man. He figures we don't need guns to protect ourselves but yesterday he just made sure he had them for the rest of his life and we're paying for it.

Fact is these progressives have no problem enjoying what the things they are against provides them. They're against fossil-fuels yet they drive around in huge gas guzzling armored vehicles. They fly around the world in private aircraft that nobody else has access to. They don't mind having armed guards protecting their children or themselves, but you who can't afford all of these perks, you have to do without.
