30 million plus people without health insurance means a lot of people are walking around sick spreading diseases. Sick workers are not productive. Neither are people trapped in jobs they hate just to provide health insurance for their family. Healthy nations are productive nations. Can we afford this healthcare bill? Of course we can. This bill will cost less than what we spent on the Iraq wars with lot more benefits. As far as additional taxes, we are one of the lowest taxed nations on earth. Only Ireland and Iceland have lower taxes.

If you don't have health insurance you're walking around sick, spreading diseases?

Really?

Hmm, these were probably some of the arguments used by com...progressives when they defended Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and social welfare programs.

Fantasy worlds are nice to live in, but dangerous when you exist in reality.

Not having health insurance doesn't mean that someone isn't healthy. Nor does it mean that they lack health care.

Just sayin'.

How much of your weekly paycheck you willing to ante up floppysie??? I bet you don't pay any taxes,, you are a gimmie gimmmie gimmie guy aren't you?

Are you serious?

When I moved from to the States from Spain, I remember my parents telling me how high taxes were over here...

So, no.

Actually, the US is certainly one of the lowest taxed countries in the world. The reason we are is because 'we, the People' do not expect the government to provide for us. Most other countries do not have our foundation of freedom..... They have 'top down' government, where as we have (until now) had 'bottom up' government (otherwise known as 'government of the people, by the people, for the people).

The OP seems to think that the grass is greener in more socialist countries... I would suggest he moves to one. As should anyone else who disagrees with the basic principles that founded this great nation.

Weird.. Then if the US has low taxes then Spain must have even lower taxes.. :eusa_eh:

Millions of people without affordable healthcare are not going to be as healthy as those with healthcare. Can someone be healthy without healthcare? Of course. But for most people, access to healthcare makes possible a happier more productive life. By improving the health of a nation you improve the productivity of the nation which will in the long term be greatest economic stimulus of all.

No US Government can force US citizens to buy health insurance. I don't care whether we are the lowest taxed nation on earth - it is not about how much tax we pay it is about a government overstepping the authority that WE the PEOPLE give it.

Want 'free' healthcare, fucking move to a country with 'free' healthcare. And you will find out how 'free' it is.

well, sure,, it you sitz on the porch snuffleing cocaine you might be unhealthy. if cow shit was butter we wouldn't have to churn.

I haven't been to a Dr. for 3 years and I am extremely healthy, because I take care of MYSELF. I do not expect anyone else to do it for me.

If I choose to buy health insurance or not, is my choice!!! I will not bow to government tyranny!

What kind of drugs did you take to fuck your mind up so bad?

I wish the person whose health insurance I'm paying for had to come to my house to pick up the money.
