I mean, this is really what we need to do is just move past the crazies on this board, and others that take these positions because they are irrational, and facts don't matter.

The adults need to just move on and let the children blow each other up in the sandbox. I think Frank says it well. Thoughts?

Interesting opinion from someone whos' screen name implies that all the worlds people should live harmoniously together.

You gotta be kiddin'.

Nothing in the world says snotty elitist like marginalizing any opposition to the position of children. Which, in the obvious Hegelian model this is, elevates the person making such a haughty evaluation to the position of the parent.

Someone does indeed need to grow up, and it ain't the ones being portrayed as the children by the OP's smug asshole in the video.

Little wonder he ended up on the program of GLBTNBC's leading smug snotburger.

to a flea - a dog is a god.

And to the paternalistic elitist, big gubmint is God.

While I really can't bring myself to actually watch Rachel Maddow right now... my intense dislike of talking heads is really hitting me today... I did watch the first 10 seconds before I had to shut it off.

How do you feel about the point the talking head made:

35% of conservatives apparently feel Obama is in fact the anti-Christ ???

Do you think that's a healthy attitude?

I think it confirms what I posted on another thread about the information age actually being the disinformation age.

With the explosion of hyper-partisan "information" sources, people find it all too easy to cocoon themselves into a little shell that only allows in that "information" that supports their own bias.

They can tune into or log onto only hyper-partisan sources and delude themselves into thinking that they are informing themselves.

Here ya go:

Note Questions 11 and 12.

Question 11 asks Do you think Barack Obama is the Anti-Christ, to which 8% of total respondents said "yes".

When this was later cross referenced with "conservatve" voters, per question 12, it was found that approx 35% of Conservative voters had answered "Yes" or "Not Sure" to Question 11.

Indicating that 35% of Conservatives in New Jersey think that there is a good chance Obama is in fact the Anti-Christ.

18% of Conservative voters were completely convinced Obama is the Anti-Christ.

Now, admittedly this is in New Jersey, and may not in fact be completely representative of the entire country, but since New Jersey actually has a relatively high level of education, one might imagine that the sentiment runs higher in other places, not lower.

Now, again, I didn't watch the rest of the interview.

I might at some point, if I can stop myself from dry wretching, which tends to happen after 10 minutes or so of watching any of these hyper-partisan talking-heads, on either side of the fence.

Do you know how sick it made me to watch Glenn Beck for long enough to write an educated thread about what a shit-head he is?

ROFL.

One might **ahem** assume that, yes.

LOL, though knowing New Jersians you probably have a point.

ROFL.

Here's a great video clip from a real newscaster to FoxNews:

This is a must watch. I keep expecting Rick Sanchez' head to explode.
