We have had free trade with Canada since Jan 1, 1989, under Reagan, then Mexico was added and Clinton signed it in 94, already in the works under Bush Sr. So now who are you mad at. If anything Canada should be suffering

What is your definition of free trade?...I've already told you that Canada has tough tariffs on our farm goods and also things like parts for washing machines and other appliances...
What is free about that? Free trade is when there are no tariffs on either side...we run a deficit with Canada and every other nation we trade with...its time that that ends.. The way to end that imbalance is to match our tariffs with Canada's or to remove all tariffs from both sides....
Tariffs are used by Canada to protect their citizens in trade with other nations....we should be able to do the same...to argue otherwise is foolish...

No we have a trade surplus with Canada. Canada's pop is around 36 million, less populated that CA. The milk products are not included in Nafta, and Canada does not want our milk, their dairy farmers are closing up their farms. They also do not want our ultrafiltrated milk products.

The put tariffs on after Trump did on non dairy products. Maybe we should not have as many dairy farmers. The do not want our milk or milk products.
Why should we force them to buy our milk products? and then bitch when they put tariffs on them. If we make too much milk then its our fault.

NAFTA was never a fair trade deal...it was by design weighted in Canada's and Mexico's favor...that is why it was so heavily opposed....we have had one presidential wanna be after another including Obama and Bush campaign on renegotiating NAFTA...the only difference here is now we have a man of his word at the helm.....
