WW II Marine veteran in intensive care

The old Marine died Memorial Day at 2:30 pm at Gulf Coast Hospital in Fort Myers, Florida.
He went peacefully and without pain. He waited until Monday so he could be with his buddies to celebrate Memorial Day.
Thanks to everyone. Damn it, I am going to miss him.

You have my deepest condolences. He was a Hero. And has much earned respect.

What an amazing thing, for him to go on that special day.

God Bless you and your family in this time of mourning.

Your dad was a Great American. You and I will spend this Father's Day and Veteran's Day without our fathers for the first time. I share your pain, I share your pride and honor (Dad went last month at 84: a vet of Guam and the Philippines and Okinawa), and I just feel gratitude that you would share this with us.

Angels carry him above and minister us below.

Best fortune to you and yours.
