Storm the White House

Multi-Day Event, Beginning March 15, come when you can and stay as long as you can - we are taking over the White House until they leave. Torture, Occupation, Genocide - Must End Now.
Wednesday, March 15th 2006
Washington, DC USA

TAKE THE WHITE HOUSE BY STORM - Stop Genocide, Torture and Occupation

For Nat Turner, For Martin and Coretta, For all the Torture and Assassination in Afghanistan, Iraq, Haiti and many others - We will not allow the Slave Holders that Still Prevail in this Country to Rule us any longer. Imprisonment and torture based on race, religion, resources or region is no different than the slavery we sought to abolish years ago. The Administration is Criminal and if they will not step down, we must storm in.

We are calling on all Member Nations of the U.N., All Representatives and Justices in the World Court and International Criminal Courts, all soldiers and CIA agents and government officials who have been blackmailed by the dictators to incarcerate Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld. The Political Cooperative will put a new government in place that is comprised of people from Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and all the organizations that have finally made us aware of the truth of the savage practices and illegal policies of our government in assassinating our own officials as well as people throughout the world who oppose their criminal activity. We need all of you to save U.S. citizens and Global Victims from their ongoing criminal activity. We are calling on the military, police, citizens and religious organizations to stand with us and help us to bring democracy back to the United States and by doing so, free the world from the wrath, occupation, theft, torture, blackmail and assassination by the Criminals in the United States Government. What they have done all over the world is much worse than what Saddam Hussein has done, so why are they not in jail too? They have admitted to international and national crimes, so why have they not been taken to Court too?

After site surfing a bit, it looks like a conglomeration of far left wing and religious affiliations. I have no doubt that Soros is funding many of the participants, if not the group itself.

There have always been anarchistic, anti-military wackos around. They are more vocal now because the slanted uber-coverage of Abu Ghraib and Gitmo by the MSM gave them rallying points to focus on. It makes them bolder, and as Stephanie said, they come out from the underground like rats.

Come on guys, we may have democratically elected the Pres, but they know whats best for us!

:cuckoo:

Problem with this is the fringe has control of a major political party. This is only going to get worse.

Anti-American, anti-war coalition consisting of more than 800 local and national groups
Co-chaired by committed Socialist and longtime activist Leslie Cagan
“The Bush Administration has sought to use aggressive military action…to forcibly dominate the world and impose right-wing policies at home under the cover of fighting terrorism”
“The world is destined to find itself in a state of perpetual war so long as the United States maintains its bloated nuclear arsenal.”

United For Peace and Justice (UFPJ) is an anti-war coalition consisting of more than 800 local and national groups joined together “to oppose our [American] government’s policy of permanent warfare and empire-building.” (For a comprehensive list of member organizations, click here.) The organization’s Unity Statement denounces “the ‘pre-emptive’ wars of aggression waged by the Bush administration” in its alleged “drive to expand U.S. control over other nations and strip us of our rights at home under the cover of fighting terrorism and spreading democracy.” “It is now clear,” the statement adds, “the war on Iraq was the leading edge of a relentless drive for U.S. empire. Exploiting the tragedy of September 11, 2001, the Bush administration has sought to use aggressive military action to pursue a long-term agenda: to forcibly dominate the world and impose right-wing policies at home under the cover of fighting terrorism.” In an effort to diminish the potential calamities that might result from what UFPJ characterizes as America’s aggressive pursuit of world domination, the coalition has launched a Nuclear Disarmament Campaign. “The world,” it says, “is destined to find itself in a state of perpetual war so long as the United States maintains its bloated nuclear arsenal. Nuclear disarmament must become a core issue on the global peace movement’s agenda.”

UFPJ was officially created on October 25, 2002 in the Washington, DC offices of People For the American Way. Its initial membership consisted of approximately 70 organizations. Prior to UFPJ’s founding, the anti-war movement had earned a reputation as a hodgepodge of extremely radical elements. All the large-scale peace demonstrations to that point had been held under the auspices of International ANSWER – an organization aligned with the Workers World Party, a self-proclaimed Communist Party with ties to the brutal terrorist regime of North Korea. A second organizer of previous anti-war demonstrations had been Not In Our Name, a group organized by leaders of the Revolutionary Communist Party. Because such stewardship had created a public perception of radicalism that made many would-be sympathizers uneasy, UFPJ was created for the purpose of putting a milder face on the anti-war movement. The distinction between UFPJ and the aforementioned organizations, however, was merely symbolic rather than substantive. From its inception, UFPJ shared with those groups a passionate hatred for the United States, a readiness to condemn any and every American foreign policy decision, and a commitment to anti-American and anti-capitalist agendas.

Leslie Cagan is the co-chair and principal leader of UFPJ. She was an original founder of the Committees of Correspondence, a splinter group rooted in the Communist Party USA. A strong supporter of Fidel Castro since the 1960s, Cagan is a committed socialist and longtime activist who proudly aligns her politics with those of Communist Cuba. Over the past three decades, she has mobilized millions of demonstrators in rallies denouncing America’s foreign policies; its military-related spending; and its purportedly virulent racism, sexism, and homophobia.

Cagan has often praised Castro’s Cuba, which she considers a far better place than the United States. During her seven years as director of the Cuba Information Project, she led numerous demonstrations demanding that the U.S. end its economic embargo of, and travel ban to, Cuba. “In the winter of 1969-70,” Cagan fondly recalls, “I spent over two months with the First Venceremos Brigade in Cuba. Just ten years into their revolution, the Cubans had taken control of their history. . . . While we were in Cuba, Fred Hampton and other Chicago Black Panthers were murdered. It was a shocking reminder of the brutality and power of the U.S. government, and there we were in Cuba, a whole nation under attack from the U.S. As Brigadistas we were taking a risk traveling in defiance of Washington’s travel ban, but we knew the risk was small compared to what Cubans and so many others around the world faced every day.” The Venceremos Brigades were organized by Castro’s Cuban intelligence agency, which trained some “brigadistas” in guerrilla warfare techniques, including the use of arms and explosives. Among the supporters of the many pro-Castro rallies that Cagan has attended or helped organize are such socialist entities as Casa de las Americas, the Communist Party, the Socialist Workers Party, the Workers World Party, and the Young Socialists.

Cagan characterized America’s 2003 military strike against Iraq as nothing more than a thinly veiled oil grab. “Oil is not worth war!” read Cagan’s UFPJ Web site. She called on protesters to “disrupt normal life” once the war started. Cagan was also a signatory to the Not In Our Name (NION) statement denouncing America’s declared war against terror, which began in Afghanistan. “Let it not be said,” read the NION document, “that people in the United States did nothing when their government declared a war without limit and instituted stark new measures of repression. The signers of this statement call on the people of the U.S. to resist the policies and overall political direction that have emerged since September 11, and which pose grave dangers to the people of the world.”

On Sunday, May 1, UFPJ organized a major anti-nuclear demonstration condemning what it called the Bush Administration’s “larger empire-building agenda.” Explaining its rationale for holding the rally, UFPJ said, “In August 1945, the United States incinerated the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki with atomic bombs, initially killing more than 200,000 human beings, and starting a nuclear arms race that has held humanity hostage ever since. . . . [T]oday, the risk of use of nuclear weapons is climbing towards levels not reached since the darkest days of the Cold War. . . . The Bush Administration has declared a sweeping, open-ended policy of preventive war, in which ‘America will act against . . . emerging threats before they are fully formed’ with a nuclear option. In the run up to the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq, Bush told the American public that ‘we cannot wait for the final proof — the smoking gun — that could come in the form of a mushroom cloud.’ He didn’t tell us that the mushroom cloud was more likely to emanate from the U.S. than from Iraq.”

The breadth of UFPJ’s agenda extends well beyond anti-war activism. Passionately anti-American, this group condemns virtually every aspect of U.S. foreign policy and domestic life. It impugns, for instance, America’s “daily assaults and attacks on poor and working people, on women, people of color, lesbians/gays and other sexual minorities, the disabled, and so many others.” It asserts that “the government treats all immigrants as potential terrorist threats until proven innocent, in violation of the Constitution,” thereby “expanding the scope and depth of racial injustice within the U.S.”

UFPJ was a Co-Sponsoring Organization of the April 25, 2004 “March for Women’s Lives” held in Washington, D.C., a rally that drew more than a million demonstrators advocating that women be granted unrestricted access to taxpayer-funded abortions at any stage of pregnancy.

In 2004, UFPJ was a signatory – along with more than 200 other leftwing groups – to a letter opposing Senate Resolution 408. The letter was sent to members of the U.S. Senate, exhorting them to vote “No” on Resolution 408; that Resolution took the position that the anti-terrorist security fence that Israel was building in the West Bank was legal and justified. In UFPJ’s view, however, the security barrier was an illegal “apartheid wall” that violated the civil and human rights of Palestinians.

UFPJ is also a sponsoring organization of the Immigrant Workers Freedom Ride Coalition, which seeks to secure ever-expanding rights and civil liberties protections for undocumented workers, amnesty for illegal immigrants, and policy reforms that diminish or eliminate restrictions on immigration.

Don't these people realize that the groups that oppose them are also in favor of the second ammendment? They could try to storm the white house with their non-violence and whatnot, but we've got the brass, lead, and cold, blue steel to stop it.

MOONBAT VS. MOONBAT
By Michelle Malkin · March 15, 2006 03:12 PM

Remember that United for Peace and Justice announcement about a planned White House coup today?

Uh, it didn't happen.

According to this site, it's been rescheduled for March 20.

Marc Morano reports there's trouble in moonbat paradise:

With new polls showing that more than half of Americans believe the war in Iraq is going badly and that Iraq will never become a stable democracy, you might think that anti-war groups in the U.S. would be trumpeting their influence.

Instead, the groups appear to be caught in their own brand of civil war, criticizing each other for management styles, sympathizing with Communist dictators and pandering to the media. They have bickered over alleged racism and even over issues like who would get more microphone time and pay for the portable toilets at anti-war rallies.

The feuding appears to have precluded any kind of nationally coordinated anti-war rallies from happening on March 19, the third-year anniversary of the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq.
Aww.

Maybe these guys should look at this before overthrowing the White House.

Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

Hope they have fun while it lasts.

Were You At The Coup?

Last month I wrote about the barely-veiled call for a coup d'etat sponsored by the group United for Peace and Justice. The march on the White House that was intended to trigger a popular uprising had originally been scheduled for the 15th of this month, but got postponed ... due to temporary sanity, one supposes. UPJ moved the date to today:

The National Campaign for Nonviolent Resistance is organizing "From Mourning to Resistance," a March to the Pentagon on Monday, March 20, that will culminate in nonviolent direct action. This March on the Pentagon will begin with a gathering at 9 AM on Daniel French Drive, which is near 23rd and Independence. At 10 AM, there will be a march across the Arlington Memorial Bridge to Lady Bird Johnson Grove, near the Pentagon. At both sites, there will be speakers and music. The speakers are as follows: Bruce Gagnon, a Vietnam era veteran and director of the Global Network Against Nuclear Weapons & Power in Space, Fr. Joe Mulligan from Nicaragua, Global Call for Nonviolent Resistance, Laura Costas, Military Families Speak Out, Mike Ferner, Veterans For Peace and Voices for Creative Nonviolence, and Michael Berg whose son was beheaded in Iraq. There will be a ceremony to honor the dead, before a delegation attempts to deliver a coffin to Secretary of War Donald Rumsfeld.

That's a bit different from their original rhetoric, which stated:

U.N. SOS - We need your help to end the reign of international criminals.

It is our duty and the duty of the United Nations to rescue the people of the world from the U.S. dictators. Murder for occupation and theft of land is illegal. Murder of journalists is criminal. Remove the traitors who have stolen the U.S. budget and used it to commit international crimes against humanity. ...

We are calling on all Member Nations of the U.N.; All Representatives and Justices in the World Court and International Criminal Courts; All Human Rights Advocates; All Soldiers and CIA agents and government officials who have been blackmailed or are in fear of the dictators to join us in ending this reign of corporate terror in our government. The World Criminal Courts need to incarcerate Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld for admitted crimes and known crimes of international scope. The Political Cooperative will put a new, temporary government in place that is comprised of people from Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and all the organizations that have finally made us aware of the truth of the savage practices and illegal policies of our government in assassinating our own officials as well as people throughout the world who oppose their criminal activity.

Michelle Malkin will be on hand to document the lunacy. She promises to let you know if the revolution breaks out, but if the nutcases get 5,000 people out there, I'll faint from the shock. I doubt it will get even as many protestors as yesterday's fizzled anniversary marches against the Iraq War, but I don't doubt that some of the same people may be present ...
