I didn't notice this until today, while discussing it with a friend. Whats the old political trick in the White House for news that the White House wants to keep as quite as possible? Release it on a Friday afternoon, right?

Obama ordered the first strike on a Friday afternoon/evening, AND it was the very beginning of a massive television event, the NCAA basketball tournament. THEN he is out of the country, barely visible, barely commenting, and emphasizing Europes lead.

So.....it began on a Friday, amidst one of the biggest sports television events of the year. Which means, a LOT of moderates, fair weather voters who don't pay a lot of attention to politics on weekends, were watching basketball for their office pools. And the news cycle was dominated by the Japan disaster.

Is this why he waited 2 weeks? Wait until the public is as distracted as possible? The left will vote for him no matter what, and the right wont no matter what. 2012 depends on the middle, and he knows many in the middle on a Friday in spring while NCAA tournament is on will likely watch non-news TV, or be doing weekend outdoors stuff.

When they come back on Monday, or later in the week when the tournament is slowing and start watching the news more, this thing, in Obama's mind, will appear that the US is just a small part of a large UN operation.

He attacked at the same time Sarah Palin was giving her first major speech overseas on her 'Vision Of America' in India. All week the press has been all torqued up about how this speech will effect Obama. Saturday she gave the speech slaming Obama on a wide range of issues,especially on his energy policy. But not wanting to be showed up by the Governor and cast in a bad light in the international press by her, Obama attacks Libya instead during her speech at the same time she was giving it. Palin is clearly on the mind of the Obama Administration and the liberal MSM 24 hour seven. Palin is a thorn in their side and this attack as she gave her speech proves it. They are in a campaign mode against Palin clearly as this indicated. Obama was out of town on 'Spring Break' during this attack when clearly he should be in Washington in the War Room with his Joint Chiefs so this meant that when he got word of the media's big international coverage of Palins speech and as a bonus, Donald Trump calling the MSM to tell them Obama isn't eligible to be president and that no one remembered him when he was in college, he ordered the attack and shifted the focus off Palin and Trump onto Libya and himself.
