Would you stay in a sexless relationship?

Saw this question on another forum where a condition prevents some women from having intercourse b/c they involuntarily have spasms down yonder, making sex too painful.

Women, if your husband had a medical impotent problem, would you stand by his side, even if that meant no sex again?

Men, if your wife had a med condition which prevented her from being intimate sexually(vaginally) could you stand by her side?

Why or why not?

Yeah, but that makes it doubly pleasurable for the guy, so there's no net change in the equation.

Am I going to hell?

Probably, but it likely doesn't have anything to do with that particular answer this late in life. :)

Yes. I would stay in the relationship if I could not have sexual intercourse with my wife. I would do this out of the commitment we made to each other when we married, i.e., "through sickness and in health, for better or for worse, through richer or poorer, till death do you part." I believe a man's word is his word. You are only as good as your word. Besides, even with a medication like Viagra, the parts aren't going to work forever. What happens when the dog won't hunt any longer?

Yeah, I would stay by my man's side even if he couldn't get it up. There are other ways - and extremely pleasurable ones at that - in which he can pleasure me.

It would really kill me though not to be able to pleasure him... Sometimes, I enjoy him having an orgasm almost as much as I enjoy mine.

Yeah, if I really truly love someone and they have this sort of problem, I would definitely stay by their side. Moreover, it's probably not too long before they find 'cure' or 'treatment' even for that (on a positive note).

Seriously - At a certain age I'd almost expect it. But...I'm not really anywhere near there yet. There are other ways and other pleasures.

I am not married. If I was, I would not leave my wife over something like that. Love doesn't mean just when you are having intercourse. A man that would leave a woman over something like that, is a pathetic excuse for a man, in my opinion.

I could get laid, but my wife won't let me date.

EDIT:

I forgot to give the attribution! Mea culpa.

I stole the line from an old radio show I heard. And when I say old, I mean within the last 20 years. It was Howard Stern.

You must spread some Reputastion around before giving it to BasicGreatGuy again
Dammit!

Not really, in these cases many times the man can't even enter. It's like shutting your eye closed when something touches your lid, or gets in your eye.

If it was physiological, yes.

If I was in a relationship where there spouse decided they didn't want to have sex anymore, absolutely not.

That's a dealbreaker.

The surprise discovery of a "pre-existing" sexual condition is one reason why "waiting until marriage" makes no sense whatsoever.

I can't even imagine what sort of person would think that marriage is totally, and only, about sex.

Makes sense to people who don't think of marriage as merely an endless string of one-night stands. :eusa_whistle:

If this medical condition manifested itself at this point in our relationship, abso-damn-lutely I would stay with her. She is the love of my life and sex is the smallest part of our relationship, and it is the smallest part of the love I have for her.

Most of our relationships are sexless.

We don't have sex with our brothers, our sisters, our fathers, our mothers, or our friends.
