Would you listen to a country album from 'Joe the Plumber'?

You know that one dude Samuel "Joe the Plumber" Wurzelbacher (pictured) everyone keeps talking about on TV? He may or may not already be a played-out Halloween costume, but he sure is famous. So famous, in fact, that he's just retained the services of a Nashville-based PR firm, which sent me a press release last night. Said publicity firm has also been quoted as saying that "Joe" is considering launching a country music career. Yep, that's right — "Joe the Plumber" is on the cusp of pulling a Joaquin the Actor. I, Simon the Blogger, am going to refrain from making a hasty judgment on this important matter (as well as from making any further lame "______ the ______er" jokes). So you tell me. Good idea? Bad idea? And wouldn't it make more sense for a plumber to play some good old-fashioned [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CiYL1zZAk0w"]musical pipes[/ame] than to try and become a country singer?

Joe the Plumber hires publicist

By Associated Press | Thursday, October 30, 2008

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Joe the Plumber isn’t angling to become Joe the Country Singer, but maybe Joe the Author.

Since becoming a symbol of working class America, 34-year-old Joe Wurzelbacher of Holland, Ohio has been flooded with requests for interviews and appearances.

Nashville-based publicist Jim Della Croce says Wurzelbacher has hired him to help deal with the hoopla.

Well at least that means he will be able to pay his taxes and child support!

no but I am not a big fan of new country anyways. Give me some Waylon, Johnny, and Merril and you can keep the trash they make today!
