Would you cure gay?

The point being that "curing" someone who does not wish to be "cured" and does not consider themselves "sick" is an invasion of their rights and criminal.
There is not a "gay gene" - that is true there are at least three genes that are involved and it is not understood fully how they are "turned on". Research has shown that all mammals will exhibit homosexual behaviors when population densities increase beyond some level. Mammals from mice and rats to the great apes have been studied in this context and it is quite common.

It is not a disease and therefore does not need a cure.

What causes heterosexuality we should wonder? Is there a cure? Consider all the bad marriages, divorces, cruelty and violence both mental and physical involved, think of the children, some scarred for life, some dead. Could children be raised in a better environment, say an environment out of a futuristic sci-fi story. Would that solve it or are solutions beyond the question?

When we talk of 'cure' we need to assume we are fixing something, I personally don't think heterosexuality can be cured. We are just going to have live with it, flaws and all.

"If skin-colour were a choice, would racism be justified? Would it then be completely reasonable to say that only if you are a particular colour are you allowed to marry or join organisations or visit a loved-one in hospital? If skin-colour were a choice, would it be reasonable to say that some skin-colours were sinful or evil or immoral, and others not?" "Despite how straightforward and commonplace it may appear today, the heterosexual/homosexual juxtaposition was actually less to the fore in pre-modern times and, in effect, was not universally observed. Equally, heterosexual love - however natural it may appear today - was seen in those earlier societies not so much as a rejection of homosexuality but rather as an alternative to nonsexual male-to-male relationships and, for that matter, the love of God advocated respectively by chivalric and religious practices and codes of conduct. There is today a clear need to rethink our attitude to heterosexuality...." 'The Invention of Heterosexual Culture' Louis-Georges Tin

Why am I not surprised that you wouldn't actually address the premise of the OP? Did it ever occur to you that by arguing the way you are you are actually exasperating the problem?

Oh but I did address it, homosexuality is as normal as heterosexuality, no one knows what causes either. The fact we assume one this, and not that, is not relevant because this and that switch places dependent on a number of factors called social constructs. Evolutionary biology on the other hand doesn't really care or maybe its idea of care is quite different than our construct.

High estimates say that 10% of the population is homosexual. If we cut off a ridiculously high number and say that another 10% of the population falls into the asexual area, and an additional 10% is bisexual that means that 70% of the population is heterosexual. That means that, despite you lies, that homosexuality is not normal. The average fifth grader understands this, why don't you?

No one has said a thing about curing someone that does not want to be cured – that is a straw man.

So any human with a small but statistically measurably genetic trait is not normal. Even you must see the absurdity of that claim.

I am missing how being homosexual is not normal? Normal in this context meaning to occur naturally. Whats not normal is that a human being would make a choice to be ostracized by society. That alone should provide proof that being gay is natural.

Natural does not equal normal in any dictionary. This is perfectly natural:

However, it is NOT normal.

Do you truly not understand what normal is?

I do but do you? Here is a dictionary.

Normal - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary

: occurring naturally <normal immunity>

If there were no other 2 headed snakes ever in the wild then I would get your point but its something that happens naturally and it is normal.
