CDZ Would you consider Donald Trump a good businessman?

He's a showman, not a businessman. The guy doesn't really understand the first thing about finance, business management, etc. He's proven that repeatedly. What he can do is be bombastic and hog the camera until his name attracts dollars like jupiter attracts moons.

Trump has over 500 successful and profitable businesses.

Please explain what your evidence is to support you moronic claim?

There's no way he's even marginally involved in their success. Investing is not the same as running a business.

First, you understand that investing itself, is a business. What do you think banks do?

Seriously what do you think a bank does? Its entire business plan is determine what things to invest in, and what things to avoid, and what to pull the plug on, and what to invest more in, in hopes of a return.

Second, there were numerous projects that Trump himself was directly involved in. Obviously the Apprentice is one. But several others include his projects in New York.

I think you are just trying to find lame excuses to avoid giving him due credit.

"The Apprentice" wasn't his baby, he was just the host. He didn't run it as a "business". I'll give Trump credit for what he IS good at -- Showmanship. He knows how to promote. That's only a small part of business, however.

Huh? What are you smoking? The Apprentice is produced by Donald Trump. He is directly a producer of that specific show. Moreover, the company which produces The Apprentice and other shows, is Trump Productions. Trump is CEO of Trump Productions, the company which produces The Apprentice.

By any and every measure, Trump is directly responsible for The Apprentice.

You saying he should be given credit for that, is like saying Peter Higgs should be given credit for the Higgs boson. Ridiculous.

No, he's an "executive producer" which is not the same thing as "produced by". It was created by Mark Burnett. Trump added nothing but his bombastic personality and a few scenes in a boardroom each season.
