The entertainment industry is so full of elitists it is incredible, especially when you consider that in theory their work depends on public acceptance.

But our time is full of people who thinnk that everyone else is a dumbass, and so when these entertainment shills start ragging on the general population, from Wallmartians to Vietnam veterans to the unemployed, they know that they can still score a large audience by making the audience feel like they are in on the joke, while the humorist most likely thinks the audience is just as stupid and boorish.

The French pulled out, after Dien Bien Phu, since that battle was conducted, at a fire base, to prevent damage, to populated areas, but the outcome was to settle colonialism, in that area.

The US wanted in, since oil is in the Gulf of Tonkin, now being produced. So the US cooked up two incidents, involving the USS Maddox, Aug. 2 and 4, but no Aug. 4 incident actually happened, involving North Viet Namese.

It turned out the Maddox was inside NVN territorial waters and fired first, to start shit up, with the patrol boats, Aug. 2. The Maddox then claimed another attack, Aug. 4, which was complete bullshit. The US wanted a war, before upcoming elections.

There are other exposes of US Navy and US State Dept. and other misconduct, but suffice to say, the US wanted a beef, oil was over there, and a war happened.

The US tried to establish a republic, in South Viet Nam, to oppose the Hanoi government, while the entire nation of Viet Nam was poised, to elect Ho Chi Minh, as President, if the US had not timely intervened.

A whole lot of unrest followed, a whole lot of death followed, and all of it would have been prevented, had JFK lived, since he wanted to remove US advisers. But LBJ's war happened, to become Nixon's war.
