Workplace accidence compensation: tort law vs social insurance

I think it is a better idea to have a social insurance. It appears to be a far cheaper alternative to people suing each other, and those receiving compensation would get it when they need it rather than have to endure a lengthy and expensive legal battle. Some social insurance schemes take a ‘no blame’ approach when allocating payments, with employer negligence (assuming they were negligent) being dealt separately at a later date.
