I changed my mind on sharing. This crowd does not inspire me.

“Vanity of vanities, all things are vanity!“ Ecclesiastes 1:2

“For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.” 2 Timothy 4:3

A casual stroll through the lunatic asylum shows that faith does not prove anything.

    Friedrich Nietzsche

The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.

You require inspiration from the crowd to share your faith-based thoughts with them? That's not very Christian of you.

Yeah we know, and Sinatra carries that on reminding us that “my way” is all that matters --- their lack of wisdom their only hope for an excuse come later. Nietzsche, like so many learned men, was too in love with himself, IMO. Ego and seeking the praises of men consume them. Beyond that, I cannot account for why high intelligence fails to recognize certain evident truths.

If Christians are in love with themselves then they would hardly qualify as a Christian.

What is the question? Christianity is all about sacrifice and self-denial, the antithesis of what the secular world mostly seeks.

    You are absolutely correct.

But that's how I felt at the moment.

The difference between you and others is perhaps your willingness to be honest about it but truthfully there are days when everyone feels this way. This is when it is good to remember what Smith Wigglesworth said. ( to encourage us )

I don't go by what I feel or by what I see. I go by what I believe.
