She can tell herself it's just a way to make money, that she is lucky that she's good-looking enough to be desirable as a stripper. But the men who watch her take it off aren't thinking "Boy, I really respect her mind." They see her as an object, one that gratifies their horniness.

Most men arn't looking above the chest anyway so it doesn't matter what their face looks like.

It's a demeaning profession. In Florida it's complete nudity, now someone tell me how a girl can have any respect for herself when she's walking around naked in front of a room full of salavating men?????????

*tried to give rep points for your post but have to spread them around. Maybe next time*

It's not about "respect" it's about big $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Do these "negative" connotations about strippers also extend to:

1. Actresses who have appeared nude/partially nude in movies.

2. Women who have appeared nude/partially nude in magazines. These magazines could be the likes of Playboy, FHM, and even Victoria Secret and Dillard's advertisements.

3. Women who model in lingerie catalogs.

4. Women who take on "slutty" roles in movies or T.V. shows.

It is a complete degradation for a woman to strip. Telling herself that "she just has the confidence that others lack" is a sophistry. She is in fact whoring herself. What, those men watching her are just artistically admiring her body? PUH-LEEESE! They are horny, and she is increasing their horniness. It's SEX, whether she completes the act or not. Those men are having sex with her in their minds.

She can tell herself it's just a way to make money, that she is lucky that she's good-looking enough to be desirable as a stripper. But the men who watch her take it off aren't thinking "Boy, I really respect her mind." They see her as an object, one that gratifies their horniness.

What's more, it degrades ALL women. Men who get in the habit of watching anonymous women get naked on stage get used to being sexually gratified without having to "buy the cow." Why would they take the trouble of talking, caring, patiently arousing (yeah, women are crock pots) their sex partner if they can go down to the local Bouncing Boobs Bar and see a naked woman any time he wants? A woman already PAID to arouse him. No commitments, no strings, no "I'm not in the mood tonight." There is no give in that mentality. Men get used to thinking it should be all about their desires, and women who want more just aren't worth the trouble.

Which, by the way, degrades the men as well. Instead of being strong, honorable leaders, they are reduced to drooling testosterone junkies.

All, right. So now you all know how I feel about the subject. :D

Well said Mom. BTW I have had a few friends that were dancers, and I can tell you men that many dancers really don't like men but rather like controlling men sexually and love the fact that you are sitting there fantacizing over them instead of being home with your woman, it's what they get off on.

I love porn. I love sex. I love everything about women and all their goodies. :)

But no, I would never want a loved one involved.

The solutiom to that is date a woman that fulfills all your fantasies in looks and personality in your own bedroom, just for you ;)

I can tell you why too...many are gay.

Any time the subject of strip/topless clubs comes up, I get the feeling the people talking about them haven't ever been to one. Well, I have. :D

Pretty much, there are four different kinds of dancers you will find in a club. There's the young girl that only does it for a couple of years to get through college. Say what you will about dancing, it's a good way to make a lot of money in a short amount of time if you are in a decent club.

There's also the women that fall into it by necessity, like the single mom that certainly isn't a single mom by choice. If you see these women away from the club, or even talk to them in the club, you'll find that they aren't any different than any other mom. There's also the woman that works there because of convenience. Maybe they have plans to move onto bigger and better things, like modeling and what not, and dancing gives them a job to make money, have workable hours, and something they can walk away from at the drop of a hat.

Finally, there's the dancer that everyone stereotypes as being the average dancer, but really isn't. The one that started dancing as a way to... ahem... offer her services. Drugs are probably involved on one end or the other, either leading them to dancing or keeping them there. These are the girls that will screw you over for a nickle if they get the chance. Believe it or not, they are generally in the minority when it comes to dancers.

Now, to answer the question: No. Lol. But not because it's degrading, I just couldn't send someone I was serious about off to work to take their clothes off. Meeting someone there would be one thing, but I would want them to quit if we were together. I had a friend that dated a dancer and had the "as long she goes home with me" attitude. This girl was closer to that last description I gave, and in the end he was paying her bills, sitting for her kids, and waiting until 5 in the morning for her to get home when the club closed at 2. Still took him 6 months to figure out he was nothing but her bank.
