woke up this am to find my buddy had passed

thanks everyone....i knew this day would come when i got him....i just didnt think it would be today...

he died like he lived.......on his own terms.....i sat up with him last night hoping it was just another 'spell'...he was in no pain and seemed to just be real tried....this morning....he was gone...

buddy is the brown one.....we got him in may of 2011 they guessed he was 6 yrs old then.....we have no real idea....we cant bury him till daylight comes

Just lucky the brown one wasn't human, for it would of probably been executed in the planned parenthood facility. Liberals shed a tear for a dog, but when it comes to babies, born or unborn, there are no tears. Sorry for your loss, but maybe you should wake up to what is really happening.

Sorry for your loss, been there. And it still hurts years later. I lost my parents and freinds too, and it never gets easier.

Lost a cat and dog over the last four years or so, it's never easy. Sorry for your loss. RIP.

When our dog passed it absolutely destroyed my father in law. He had lost his wife a few years prior and he really had a bond with our dog (it was really his dog by their relationship). He had that dog before his wife had passed, had him since he was a puppy. Many photos in my wifes album showing him proudly posing with his young puppy. Our dog was hurting and aging and let out one single cry before passing. I watched a man in his twilight hug this dog and cry in front of us without reservation. It broke my heart to see it and it broke his heart as well. Sadly, only a year later my father in law passed from a health condition. One wonders if the loss of his dog impacted him.

Animals are family. They don't judge you and they love you forever. One of the best quotes I ever read was "be the man your dog thinks you are". Indeed.
