it is irrelevant what the effects of the stimulus are in the first year.
if Obama has even a 10% chance of keeping the bubble inflated for another 4 years he has to go for it regardless of how catastrophic the ultimate result will be.
His goal is to postpone Judgement day until after the end of his term.
In fact our standard of living has to go down to that of 3rd world nations like China anyway for long term sustainability and Obama's debasement of our currency will accomplish just that. So maybe his plan is not as misguided as Austrians believe.
