With this weekend's rally, is Glennbeck the new Leader of Conservative Media?

considering the rally had nothing to do with politics, id guess no.

Of course it didn't. Not at all.

Of course it wasnt political...keep in mind, Palin spoke, and we all know she is not about politics at all...

It was about a god.....(keep in mind, it is the Mormon's version of god, to all those God fearing christians).

This is just great stuff here.

Well, it's really comparing apples of different varieties.:) Beck's format is so much different from Rush, that's it's really not a competition. Rush is the king of conservative talk radio, mostly because he was pretty much the pioneer. Beck has taken what was once a conservative stance and formed it into more of a 'sort of' liberitarian movement, but it's really sort of a hybrid. In conservative TV commentary, O'Reilly usually holds the top position, and he's really fairly balanced as far as the format goes. Hannity has a pretty well-defined niche in that he has the type of audience that Rush has, but they prefer viewing over listening.

Most conservatives would regard the idea of the likes of Beck or Limbaugh being considered "the leader" as really bad comedy. Beck and Limbaugh more so than many others. Beck would find the idea of an alky as head of the conservative movement distasteful, and Limbaugh has no patience with egocentric blowhards.

Limbaugh has no patience with himself?

I don't think Glenn will take it seriously. I don't think he sees himself as a leader. He is just a guy who is lucky enough to have a voice and who people listen to for some reason. He just tries to do the best he can with what he can and is very articulate.

That's just his act.

Anyone who has their own radio program and their own TV show likes the spotlight.

He considers himself a leader. If he denies that, then it is just part of his schtick like his fake tears.

He isn't acting. That's what he is like in person as well.

He jokes around. He asks questions. He wants to know what's really going on. He admits when he is wrong about something.

Seriously, that's just who he is.

So Obama really does have a deep seated hatred for white people?

How many times does this question have to be answered before you stop asking it?

Seriously man, do you read anything we say?

I used to listen to his program back in late 90's when he was first getting going. I thought he was Catholic. But Wiki says you are right.

You can sort of see the Mormon part of him in his "prepper" mentality. Mormons tend to look at the long term picture and make contingency plans. Not saying it's a specifically Mormon thing, but it's a part of their church philosophy.

So Obama really does have a deep seated hatred for white people? I mean, Beck is great with FACTS...remember?

Simple ans. Yes or no? Does he have a deep seated hatred for white people or was beck full of shit again?

Freaking drydrunk mormon circus clown runs the republicans party. rush must be so angry right now.

Among the many media figures at the national level today, none appear so in tune with the depths of concern and dissatisfaction that exists among Americans across the nation than Glenn Beck. With debt and unemployment at frightening levels, with an Obama White House increasingly detached and seemingly incompetent in the face of challenge, and a Democrat Congress that time and again appears too willing to legislate against the will of the people, the November elections are poised to enact via the American voter, a sweeping rebuke of progressive liberalism.

Boy...sure glad that rally of his wasn't political.

With a dash of tears.

And what will Hannity, Rush, O'Reilly, Coulter, Malkin, Levin, Ingraham, and all of the other's say about that?

Will they just accept it and move on?

Or will they fight to get back on the top?

And if they fight...will they destroy themselves in the process?

Meh, the question is largely immaterial: Practically all have the same credentials..

A much more interesting question: Who is the Civil Rights Leader for Blacks?

No doubt, much of the media wants to ignore the question, because it raises some troubling facts: Practically none of the Blacks, in a city with a population comprised of HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of blacks, responded to Al Sharpton's invitation to commemorate what could arguably be called one of the greatest speeches in American History by one of America's Greatest Men, Martin Luther King.

Why?

One plausible answer: Blacks Do Not Care about a civil rights movement that they'd much rather put behind them.

Another plausible explaination: Al Sharpton is no longer a respected Leader, and none other has arisen.

But the THIRD possibility is most disturbing: Blacks agree with Beck.

I think there could be some other explanations as well. Like perhaps they didn't know anything about it.

But you definitely have some points to think about.
