Waiting on the Cowardly Dante!!
Nervous...and BROKE!!!!!

CBS News ^ | 11/2/2016
Open enrollment for Obamacare, or the Affordable Care Act, begins today. Problems with the law mean consumers could face significant rate hikes in some parts of the country. There will also be fewer health plans to choose from. Starting today, the administration will make a major enrollment push -- but that may be a tough sell in states like Tennessee, which has seen premiums spike more than 50 percent, reports CBS News correspondent Margaret Brennan. For songwriter Wendy Jans and her husband, Eric, life was sailing along until health insurer Blue Cross Blue Shield pulled out of the Obamacare market in Nashville

Why can't everyone sign on to the Paul Ryan Plan? He announced it over a year ago. :dunno:

These rate hikes are just the start.

Wait until next year.

Then we'll go single payer....and there will be no running from the hikes.

This is what is wrong with America. There is a deep mix of socialism and capitalism, not only on the national level but also on the state level. There needs to be either one or the other. I shouldn't have to pay hundreds a month for mediocre healthcare coverage or get fined for not having it even though it's my choice, and the government should not be allowed to take $700 of my tax return just because I don't want to pay those outrageous rates.

Before Obamacare my rates through my employer for an "individual" healthcare plan was around $100 a month. Now it's $400 a month and a fine if I don't want to pay that ludicrous rate. This is the America we have now with a stupid president and congress. Cannot wait until Obama gets kicked out and I certainly hope Hillary doesn't get elected because she won't change anything, yet alone anything for the good.

How are we a free country if we get "fined" for not choosing to go broke for healthcare coverage? Perhaps employers should get fined for not providing affordable healthcare packages that cover a majority of one's healthcare costs. Put it on the rich businesses, not the people struggling to make ends meet.

...they do.

No, they get fined for providing health insurance that's not considered up to the ACA minimum standards. If I'm paying my employer $400 a month because they're cheap, they're obviously not getting a big enough fine.

They used to back when the consumer had a choice in their coverage. Once choice was taken away and the government mandated coverage, the consumer had to pay for a ton of coverage they didn't want and that ran up the costs. There is no reason why a 68 year old man has to pay for maternity coverage or well baby care. This is taking the concept of equality to absurdity.
