Wisdom is better than gold, Understanding to be chosen than silver

Picking back up with Proverbs 30: 29

It is written:

There be three things which go well, yea, four are comely in going:

A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turned not away for any,
a greyhound, an he goat also; and a king, against whom there is no rising up.
If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself, or if thou hast thought evil, lay thine hand upon thy mouth.
Surely the churning of milk bringeth forth butter, and the wringing of the nose bringeth forth blood; so the forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife.

-Proverbs 30: 29 - 33

31The words of King Lem'-u-el, the prophecy his mother taught him. What my son? and what the son of my womb? and what, the son of my vows? Given not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings. It is not for kings, O Lem'-u-el, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink.
Lest they drink and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.

- Proverbs 31: 1-5

This song is about Abiding in Christ. Jesus tells us that if we abide in him and his words abide in us we shall ask what we will and he shall do it! What promises we have in Jesus! Are you abiding in Christ today?

Beginning with Proverbs 31:6

Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.
Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.

Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed unto destruction.
Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.

Proverbs 31: 6 - 9

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
She is like the merchants' ships, and bringeth her food from afar.
She riseth also while it is still night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
She considereth a field, and buyeth it, with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
- Proverbs 31: 10 - 18

Picking up from verse 18

19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
20 She stretcheth out her hands to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household; for all her household are clothed with scarlet.

Proverbs 31: 19,20,21

22 She maketh her coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it, and delivereth girdles unto the merchants.
25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

- Proverbs 31; 22,23,24,25,26

27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness

- Proverbs 31:27

28 Her children rise up, and call her blessed, her husband also, and he praiseth her.
29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

Proverbs 31: 28,29,30,31
