"Last July, the union sued to force the school board to once again include erectile dysfunction drugs in its insurance plans. It said excluding such medications discriminates against male employees.

The board cut the benefit back in 2005 to save money. Officials estimate taxpayers would be on the hook for almost $800,000 if the pills were put back into health plans."

I love that it's now ok for Conservatives to use class warfare against the middle class.

How DARE those teachers make $100,000! That's a little more than a third of what the "middle class" made when it came to extending the Bush tax cuts!

The GOP's unwillingness to serve the will of the people may cost them their jobs!!!! And includes even the Dems who wanted to "negotiate" with them.

So this is FAR from over............

.
It's over.

The democratics attempt to thwart the will of the people as expressed in the last election has failed. Like petulant children they are now going to attempt to beg the people to correct themselves as they were obviously too ignorant to vote for the right people last time. Nothing more here thasn liberals thinking they're smarter than the electorate, and if the people were only smarter they'd elect them.

What will the Senate look like after the "recalls"?

Probobly pick up another republican or two.

Highly doubtful. And it's the GOP who thinks they're "smater than the electorate" since the electorate sides with the UNIONS.

Remember....

1) The public sides with the Unions 61%-33%

2) After just a short time they have already collected nearly 25% of the signatures needed.

3) The GOP Senators won their districts by relatively narrow margins, and President Barack Obama carried all three districts.

LOL, that bike of yours doesn't even get the kind of mileage those talking points are!:eusa_eh:

Supposedly Wisconsin is in a budget crisis. Wonder how much it would cost to run a recall election? Several million dollars I would venture to say.

We have a political system in place that designates election cycles and it was created to even things out. It was perceived that certain issues could cause the electorate to want to throw the "bums" out but for the good of the community/country this desire should not be enabled lightly. Look at the countries in Europe where their governments are changing so rapidly. Here our representatives last for 2, 4, 6 years and can weather unpopular legislation over time. And that is why we have become a country that has survived and grown over time.

These recall elections are, by design, very hard to accomplish and should be. look at the mess California is in for allowing the voters to decide on issues instead of letting the representatives do their jobs. Like it or not we are a representative government and the people we send to to represent us can do as they please. But eventually they have to pay the price for their actions, be it in 2 months, or 6 years.

Therefore Wisconsinonians (What do you call them?) buck it up and live with what you voted for.

The GOP's unwillingness to serve the will of the people may cost them their jobs!!!!

hahahahah, that one there cracks me up.

What were we told from the lefties when the Obama and his comrades in Arms insisted in passing OBAMACARE, AGAINST THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE.

He ran on that, he WON, get over it.

now they are all worried about the WILL OF THE PEOPLE, who showed what they wanted only THREE MONTHS AGO by electing Walker.

you just gotta laugh your ass over all this.

Obama isn't held in the same light as two years ago.

And the public isn't as much on the side of unions as you claim.

Cleverly worded poll questions are not gonna change the public's attitudes about a government that overspent and overreaches it's authority.

NOTE TO GOP: Teachers, police officers, paramedics, firefighters, road workers, garbage-men etc. are NOT the enemy. We are your friends and neighbors, the countless number of the people that do our job on a daily basis and want a living wage.

But since you waged war on us we will respond in kind and ensure you are recalled and voted out.

Uh-huh. Just kkeep telling yourself that as they get recalled and voted out.

Sounds like you are representative of the problem.

Go ahead and strike, runaway, bitch and whine, recall, cry, pout. We'll have a whole class of recruits ready to free up your time very shortly, so you can concentrate on doing what it is you do best.

Begging and bullying.

yeah the bid to recall elected officials in Wisconsin has been gaining steam. Only problem is it's been for the Democrats who ran away and not for the Republicans.

Most of the Republicans are newbies anyway and can't be recalled as a matter of law.

Of course they aren't our enemy. They are our employees. And Employees need to learn not to bite the hand that feeds them.

You seem to think that they can get unlimited access to tax payer money and we should just bend over and pull out more money even if we don't have it. Life doesnt work that way.

Not only that but they want to tell everyone what their will is.

Most of us aren't buying it. These people don't exist in the same planet as the rest of us.

I almost snarfed my coffee the other day when Obama was lecturing Mubarak an Quadaffi on not listening to their own people. It would be funny if it wasn't for the fact it's so tragic.

Always be careful what you ask for. Energizing the electorate is a two-edged sword.... Look what happened last time there was a election in WI.

Dems will be up for recall as well.....

I think you're gonna be disappointed.
keep thinking that.

In a city of 236K people the protesters can only muster 7-12K enraged petulant children to obstruct the government from governing and it's likely that half of those aren't even from madison.

The people made their choice when they voted in the last election and the governor and GOP were up front about their plans to reform WI. Elections have consequences and no matter how much the petulant malconteted miscreants in the street don't like it, its done. Pitch a fit, holler, jump up and down and scream like a two year old who wants a toy in a department store all you wish, your parents (the people) will treat you accordingly and you will be spanked.

Asking loaded questions in a tilted poll will not change the facts, the public sides with the governor and we know this because they elected him. They've collected 25% of the only 20% of the signatures needed and you think thats evedence of something? 5% of the people is NOT a majority.

Mayby Gov Walker should outline for the taxpayers exactly how much money the collective bargaining of the Unions is costing the taxpayers.

Mayby he should start with Viagara.
He could also include the 61M extra the state has to spend because of the mandate to buy teachers insurance from the teachers union instead of enrolling them in the same plan the rest of the state employees have.

So in other words the union was demanding it and recently changed their mind because they realized the political liability of it.

Team Obama Behind Recall Efforts in Wisconsin?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How's this for states' rights?

This morning, Wisconsin Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald said in a radio interview that President Obama's political team is directly involved in burgeoning efforts to recall Republican elected officials (emphasis on the word "elected," as in chosen by the people of Wisconsin in a democratic vote four months ago):

"There's many people that are beginning to believe this is a delay tactic by the Democrats in the Senate so that these recall elections can be organized by the Obama team out of Chicago, which they are, as we start to do the research on the people that have filed the petition," Fitzgerald told Newsradio 620 WTMJ's "Wisconsin's Morning News."

When asked whether Fitzgerald knew that for a fact, he responded, "The organizer against (River Hills Republican Senator) Alberta Darling definitely has direct links to the Obama camp. There's no doubt about it. These guys might be out until June. Unfortunately, what they're trying to do is flip the majority, and I think that's becoming very evident."
