The GOP's unwillingness to serve the will of the people may cost them their jobs!!!! And includes even the Dems who wanted to "negotiate" with them.

Efforts to recall 14 Republican and Democratic senators in Wisconsin picked up momentum Tuesday while Gov. Scott Walker released emails suggesting the two sides discussed compromises in the three-week standoff over the governor's "budget-repair" bill.

The senators appear to be vulnerable to recall because they won their districts by relatively narrow margins, and President Barack Obama carried all three districts, in two cases with 51% of the vote, the groups said.

....activists had 20% of the signatures needed in one district and 25% of those needed in another.

So this is FAR from over............

Nah, won't happen. The whining and childish behavior libs have shown will backfire. If they attempt a recall, it'll be viewed by Americans as them being even more childish, more entitled attitudes. The harder the left fights the inevitable union break-up, the more and more slowly the private sector (aka most voters) will begin to turn against them.

Dream on!! ROFLMAO Liberals abandoned their jobs, neglected their oath of office. If anyone needs to be recalled it's the L O S E R L I B S!! I am soooo lovin the mass hysteria and crying in the liberoidal community. You got your asses handed to you and deserved every fucking bit of it! Now lie in your own shitty diapers and STFU.

Yeah, negotiate from Illinois like criminals fighting extradition.

Don't be such a tool.

Absolutely correct. America en masse is telling these leftist Marxist scum, ENOUGH. You won't hijack our country!

This is typically when the left wing's tyrannical, dictatorship gene pokes it's head out.

In this case, here is what draws it out-

Libs are told "We just don't have the money."
Libs see rich people with money.
Libs think "Then just take the money from THOSE PEOPLE until we do have enough!"

This line of thought is historically followed by overwhelming violent force to accomplish that, as seen in the USSR, Cuba, China, North Korea, Nat'l Socialist Party of Germany, Fascist Italy, Russia, Burma, Vietnam, etc, etc, etc.

Luckily, America is a representative republic, and radical left wing ideology makes up less than 20% of our people, so we probably won't go that route.

Since the unions in Wisconsin enjoy overwhelming support from the same voters that will decide the fate of the Sentators in a recall methinks you are only kidding yourself.

Ok, we'll see. But 2012 elections are coming. And the behavior of the Wisconsin left wingers are affecting the opinions of voters nationwide. "Methinks" some powerful folks in Washington are gonna have some phone chats with Wisconsin Democrats and tell them to take their beating and STFU before they start hurting Obama's re-election chances.

Like it or not, whats happening in Wisconsin is affecting attitudes nationwide. And you have a nation of people that are beginning to accept the fact that our governments are broke, and then seeing the people paid by the government crying like children over it. Not a good long term formula for Democrats nationwide.

We shall see.

I wouldn't count on your view of how, though. We'll just have to see.

One thing the polls are missing on this issue:

Most people who don't support the massive unions are AT WORK DURING THE POLLING TIMES. They aren't walking the streets of a city willing to take a poll. Most unemployed people, college kids, etc, etc, who are being polled do support the unions.

You lefties are gonna get a huge wake-up call when the truth about union support finally emerges. Even though a radical lefty, Obama is very smart. He knows showing up in Madison would spell political doom for him. And thats why he hasn't . He's offered some verbal support (sort of) to satisfy his base. but he and his handlers know that the public at large will not vote on the union side in 2012.

So, you lefties keep whining. It's gonna backfire on ya.

Overwhelming support based on what? Polls that show at most a 60% percent support rating? I dont trust polls as far as I can throw them, regardless of whos side they take. There are too many ways to skew the result.

The biggest thing against polls is the fact that people will often have a public position, and a private one. And the private one is the position you see at the ballot box.

Honestly, if I were in favor of a recall, I would be concerned that supporters only have 20-25% of the signatures they need. If there was so much support for it, wouldn't the signature count be higher?

This also runs into the public/private issue, as a person who may sign a recall petition out of peer pressure could vote against it anyway once in a private voting booth.

Yeah, I admit, it's murky right now. I think the polls and politicians aren't quite sure which side of the fence to fall right now.

This issue is going to be seen in historical context as the turning point of American labor unions, one way or the other.

I think the simple money will determine which way it goes. And reality says we just can't afford it.

It takes more than a few days to collect thousands of signatures.

Even if you're really good at it, on the street you won't get more than 35-60 a day, and you'll get even less if you knock on doors.

So this is FAR from over............

.
It's over.

The democratics attempt to thwart the will of the people as expressed in the last election has failed. Like petulant children they are now going to attempt to beg the people to correct themselves as they were obviously too ignorant to vote for the right people last time. Nothing more here thasn liberals thinking they're smarter than the electorate, and if the people were only smarter they'd elect them.

What will the Senate look like after the "recalls"?

Probobly pick up another republican or two.

Highly doubtful. And it's the GOP who thinks they're "smater than the electorate" since the electorate sides with the UNIONS.

Remember....

1) The public sides with the Unions 61%-33%

2) After just a short time they have already collected nearly 25% of the signatures needed.

3) The GOP Senators won their districts by relatively narrow margins, and President Barack Obama carried all three districts.

Democrats are in denial.

They are acting like that desperate ex-boyfriend who is showing up at the girls' house, job, following her to the mall, blowing up her cell phone with messages, begging her friends to "talk to her for me".

Its over Democrats. Time to move on without the union deals.
