Outdoor Construction is always minimized in the winter...and it weas anticipated by the White House.

Obama did what he was supposed to do....rationlaize bad numbers so people will not get anxious.

I dont blame him.....I would have done the same.......but for anyone to debate that such rationalization is accurate is foolish and childish.

Interestingly, McCain, if you recall, tried to do the same thing during the campaign.....he said the econo0my was fundamentally sound...he was doing what a senator should do...not scare people into a market sell off and bank withdrawal rush.

Outdoor Construction is always minimized in the winter...and it weas anticipated by the White House.

Yes, the numbers are seasonally adjusted based on a time series of historical averages. So if the weather significantly deviates from historical averages, it will have an effect on current reported data. And the biggest snowfall in some parts of the country should significantly effect the reported data.

To say that somehow the administration is manipulating the data based on the weather is not a serious argument, and is no better than when Bush was supposedly accused of doing the same thing.
